Here we have an absolutely stunning, fully restored, low mileage 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS Hardtop. Every inch of this car has been refreshed or replaced. It was originally a 327 4 barrel car with a power-glide trans. THAT MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION COME WITH THE CAR AND IS IN EXCELLENT RUNNING CONDITION. SO ALL MATCHING NUMBER COMPONENTS COME WITH THIS SALE. The body of the Impala has been painted 99 Chrysler Intense blue and the top is Toyota Pearl White. The engine, transmission, and gas tank are all painted to match the car. The interior is a clean and new light blue with new white headliner and sun-visors. The engine bay is spotless and chromed out and has a blue top optima battery and modern serpentine belt system on the 350 hp GM 350 crate motor. The turbo 350 Trans mission is also a GM crate trans! All bumpers and most trim are 100% new. Some of the trim that was is excellent condition was reused but not much. All of the brakes and suspension are 100% new and the entire underside of this car is gloss black and beautiful. The Impala is 100% rust free and ready to cruise! It has a pioneer am/fm/cd player with Ipod hook up and Bluetooth hands free. Carpet and seats are all brand new. I still have a few parts new in the box such as the correct side view mirrors that I just didn't want on the car. The wheels and tires are 20" Billet Centerline wheels with brand new tires. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE STYLE OF WHEEL ON THIS CAR I WILL CHANGE THEM WITH-IN REASON. if you are more into the classic styling such as supremes, pacers, etc I would be willing to KEEP the Centerlines and tires and put a different wheel and tire package on for the buyer UP TO 2000.00 retail value. All wiring is new and very clean and the car rides amazing. The Impala is on full Air Ride cool ride setup with a single compressor and 5 gallon tank set up with electric vales and micro switch box up front. All glass in the car is completely new with new chrome surrounds. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own this beauty for a fraction of the cost that it costs to build it. This car has been listed before but I have dropped the price for a quick sale as I no longer have room in my shop to house it. Please feel free to ask any questions and thank you for looking!

These are the 'Greenest' and 'Meanest' cars in 2015
Fri, Feb 6 2015As has become tradition, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has come up with a ranking of what it refers to as the "greenest" cars of 2015, and, by way of contrast, a list of the so-called "meanest" cars, so those who value eco-friendliness over all else can choose which vehicles they should or should not consider buying. As you may expect, electric cars make up the majority of the greenest cars on the list, but, perhaps surprisingly to many, the Tesla Model S didn't make the cut. It's worth noting, too, that where the electricity an owner uses to charge their electric vehicle has a big impact on its overall environmental impact. "A car that is charged using electricity generated from natural gas or renewables is going to have significantly less impact on the environment than one charged on a coal-heavy grid," says ACEEE lead vehicle analyst Shruti Vaidyanathan. The ACEEE's list for 2015 looks very different than it did in 2014. It's an interesting collection, though – and we're sure this goes without saying, really – we'd recommend doing a bit more research into each vehicle and how it might fit into your daily life before making any purchase decisions. Autoblog fan favorite car ads from Super Bowl XLIX
Mon, Feb 2 2015Super Bowl XLIX is in the books, and the New England Patriots emerged victorious. Of course, if you're like us, the big game wasn't so much about the battle between the east coast and west, so much as a fight between the world's automotive advertisers. We collected and collated all of last night's new ads and put them together for you to vote on. And yes, we're limiting this year's contest to last night's new features. That's why you aren't seeing Dodge's epic Wisdom among our collection of commercials, and it's a similar story with Chevrolet's Truck Guy Focus Group series, which highlights the new Colorado. You can still vote for your favorites. We won't be closing the voting on our Super Bowl page, so while the winners and losers are correct as of this writing, it's entirely possible that there could be some changes in the rankings as time goes on. So, without any further ado, here are the winning ads based on your voting. Nissan: With Dad Fiat: Ready For Action Jeep: Beautiful Lands BMW: Newfangled Idea Mercedes-Benz: Fable NASCAR: America Start Your Engines As for those ads that failed to impact you, loyal readers, Toyota was the absolute, undisputed loser. The Japanese brand ran four ads in total – two for Toyota and two for Lexus – and all of them have negative tallies as of this writing. Lexus' Make Some Noise and Lets Play and Toyota's One Bold Choice and My Bold Dad both had very weak showings among the commercials that aired, although they weren't alone. Neither Mazda nor Kia scored particularly well, despite featuring celebrity magic act Penn and Teller and former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, respectively. Chevrolet was the winner of the losers, as of our writing, recording the fewest downvotes for its audience-punking The Big Game ad. If you want to take a second look at the losing ads, you can head back to our Super Bowl page for the complete collection. But for now, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the results.
Personal testimonies show real-world effect of plugging in with Chevy Volt
Mon, Jan 13 2014At this point, there are tens of thousands of individual stories about what it's like to live with a Chevrolet Volt. But it also remains informative to take a look at one of these in depth. For example, one Atlanta-area Volt owner says he's cut his cents-per-mile ownership costs by almost 40 percent compared to his previous car primarily because of his ability to drive almost all the time on electric power. Jeffrey Cohen told Clean Technica that he put about 14,000 miles on his Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid for the year that ended October 2013, and that more than 92 percent of those were on electrons. He estimates his "lifetime" miles per gallon rating at a whopping 384 mpg, a figure pushed upward by the fact that he installed a Level 2 charger at home while his employer added an external 110-volt charger at work. Cohen is spending 45 cents a mile for his car, compared to 73 cents in his Infiniti M35. As a result, he's spending 45 cents a mile for his car, compared to 73 cents a mile with his prior vehicle, an Infiniti M35. About two-thirds of those Volt costs are for the $349-a-month lease payments, while 15 percent is insurance, 11 percent is for the charger and seven percent for the gas and electricity that actually powers the car. Helping lower that last figure is an overnight electricity rate that's about 10 percent of Cohen's daytime rate. Chevy parent General Motors hopes such testimonies will re-trigger sales for the Volt in 2014. Last year, GM sold 23,094 Volts, down 1.6 percent from 2012. We expect our readers have similar stories they'd like to share in the Comments.
