Being offered is a very soild 1963 Impala SS Tribute. Here is your chance to own one of the most sought after body styles GM ever made and they are steadily going up in value each year. This car offers the following:

POWERTRAIN

This Impala has a 283 motor with mild cam. It is fueled by a New Holley carb with electric choke, factory GM intake, new distributor, new MSD 8mm wires, new plugs, new battery. It has dual 2 1/4" Exhaust with glass packs mufflers ran out the back. The trans is 4 speed with factory Hurst shifter, that shifts very smooth and is fun to drive. The rear is stock with new fluid and bearings. The car runs strong.

EXTERIOR

This Impala still has a older slick paint job, on a soild, and straight body. The car was painted years ago and still shows mirror like reflections as can be seen in the pictures. All gaps and fitment of panels are nice, doors open and close easily. All door, hood, and trunk jams finished out nice. I would rate the paint driver quality, a 7.5 or 8 overall. It does have some damage on the lower drivers fender, and lower front of drivers door. The hood and trunk has some blistering in paint in areas, not noticable until your about 2 feet away, passenger fender has a few spots on the edge near hood.  The roof has 2 bubbles close to the rear window on drivers side the size of a pencil eraser tip.  I have shown close ups of the flaws in the last couple pics. The car still cleans up very nice, and looks good as can be seen in the pics.  The undercarriage is very solid. The floors, frame, body braces, trunk pan, rockers are very soild. No signs of patch or repair work done. The spare tire well has one small spot under that strap in the lowest part. All glass and trim around glass is nice. Chrome bumpers and emblems are older and have some minor pitting, but are straight and rust free. The car also has a nice set of Chrome Corvette rally wheels, with good tires.

INTERIOR

This Impala has a very clean new Cars Inc interior. The car has newly covered front buckets and rear seat with no rips or tears. The carpet is also new. The car was dynamat sound insulated when interior was done. The door panels front and rear are new also, and rest of the dash and console I believe is original and still in good condition as can be seen in the pictures. The steering wheel could use to be restored, has some signs of wear. The headliner and rear sail panels are also new. The car has rear Gm seat belts. All exterior lights, dash lights, turn signals, interior lights, Heater controls, and gauges work properly accept for the tach.  The radio works and has a FM tuner in the glove box.

Cadillac CT6 production ceases January 2020 as part of D-Ham layoffs

Fri, Dec 6 2019

General Motors filed paperwork under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act with Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity this week, detailing events to come at the automaker's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Starting February 28, 814 salaried and hourly workers at D-Ham, as its called, will be laid off. The 753 workers represented by the UAW will begin receiving offers in January to relocate to facilities in Michigan and Ohio, or buyout offers. As the 4-million-square-foot plant winds down through April 3 to a skeleton crew, the Cadillac CT6 ceases production in January 2020, and the last Chevrolet Impala comes off the line on February 28. The loss of the CT6 represents the end of Cadillac's latest brief, and highly regarded, adventure into flagship sedans. It might also mean the end of the 4.2-liter Blackwing twin-turbo V8 engine, at least for the moment. Both casualties are calamities. The death of the Impala closes the door on a nameplate in production for 52 years since 1957, having started off as a top-tier trim for the 1958 Bel Air known as the Bel Air Impala, once advertised with the line, "Lets you know you're the boss." As part of the new four-year labor agreement with the UAW, GM is keeping D-Ham open to build a new line of battery-electric vehicles, ultimately investing $3 billion and tripling employment to 2,225 workers when fully operational. The agreement described the coming EV as a "van" that would commence production in late 2021, but various reports say what's actually coming is a range of premium EVs in pickup and SUV bodystyles under the program codename BT1. The easy predictions put an electric GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade among the EV fold, but not until 2023, according to auto industry forecaster LMC Automotive. Before that, LMC claims an electric van will debut in late 2021, along with a battery-powered rebirth of the Hummer brand in pickup and SUV forms, also in late 2021.

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names

Tue, Mar 17 2015

Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.

GM cutting production at two plants

Thu, Feb 26 2015

General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though.
