2006 Chevy Impala Ls Chevrolet Sedan 4 Door Silver on 2040-cars
Reno, Nevada, United States
I am reposting this because the high bidder in my buy now/best offer ad had a family emergency and had to back out. I have to move soon so I set a very low reserve. Because I'm under a time deadline, I am asking for thousands less than other 2006 Impalas are going for--even the ones in terrible condition with over 150,000+ miles on them. My loss is your gain. The "buy it now" price alone is $2,000 below its appraised value and $1,150 less than the best offer I got previously. Please shoot me a message if you have questions or would like to make an offer. I have advertised it locally and because I'm moving away, I won't be waiting for the highest offer that comes in, I will accept the first reasonable offer I receive so this deal won't last. Color: Silver/Tan --One of the few sedans that seat 6 --3.5L V6 powerplant delivers an excellent blend of power and fuel-efficiency (I average 36mpg hwy, 25mpg combined) --Returned Suspension Geometry enhances stability --Dynamic MPG display-know what your fuel economy is in real-time, as you drive --Dynamic fuel range display-know exactly how many miles you can drive on your remaining fuel --Oil life monitoring system-tells you the condition of your oil and advises you when its time to be replaced --2006 Impala received highest rating possible (5/5 stars) for front impact driver and passenger safety. In frontal offset crash testing, the 2006 Impala earned a "good" rating, which is the highest possible --On-board information center allows you to customize lock/unlock features, audible warnings (horn, chime) and after-shutdown headlight settings --After-market window tint (darker backseat and rear windows) --Remote keyless entry with remote trunk release --Power windows and locks --Air conditioning and heat both work perfectly --Cruise control --CD player with 3.5mm input and window-integrated antenna --Dual airbags --Driver seat has lumbar support --Has a ton of trunk space --Comes with two extra tires and an extra steel wheel (in addition to the spare tire) Cosmetic issues: there is a dent in the front passenger quarter-panel (see photos). There is a small dent on the hood (see photos), a small dent in the rear passenger quarter panel (see photos). There is a small (dime-size) cloth tear in one seat (see photos) and a small crack on the rear bumper (see photos). I had the electric passenger mirror replaced with a new one but it has not been color-matched. It has antenna mounts on the trunk which are visible in one of the pictures. I was quoted $180 to fix the dents and $75 for painting the mirror. Thanks for looking! |

2016 Chevy Volt will have more EV range, bigger battery
Tue, Oct 28 2014Meet the new Volt, not the same as the old Volt. That appears to be the story when General Motors introduces the 2016 Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January. Today we're getting some more details on the guts of the new plug-in hybrid, and it turns out they're going to be much improved from the current Volt, which first went on sale at the end of 2010. Sure, the first-gen Volt did get some improvements along the way (a slightly larger battery pack, lane departure warnings) but the new Volt – which will go on sale in the second half of 2015 – marks the first time GM has been able to return to the drawing board and really make the improvements that its customers want. That's how Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification explained it to AutoblogGreen today when explaining the all-new Voltec extended range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain. "In the Gen 2 is we gave the engine a little more power, a little more torque, a little more displacement, more capability." – Larry Nitz Nitz said that the new Volt will be better in almost every sense: a bigger battery, longer EV-only range, 20 percent better acceleration in the low speed range and higher overall efficiency. This is due, in part, to the Volt's two motors being able to both act as generators and power the car. As we noted this morning, the 2016 Volt will use a larger, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a version of which is already used in the Chinese-market Cruze. Nitz said that this has a number of benefits, including more power and quieter operation. "Some people would say, why did you make [the first-gen engine] so big. I would say, why did you make it so small?" he said. "It works good, our customers love it, but the reality is that if you go a little bit off and use the car a little harder, you can get the engine to need to operate at a higher speed. In an EV, that's quite noticeable. So, what we did in the Gen 2 is we gave the engine a little more power, a little more torque, a little more displacement, more capability and what it has marginally enabled is not only is it more efficient but it's also quieter." Nitz wouldn't talk about how the new powertrain might affect the two other products that use the Volt's underpinnings – the Cadillac ELR and the Opel Ampera – but if you've got a quieter option, we assume that's something ELR drivers would enjoy. But that's a story for another day.
2015 Chevy Volt will be available with 4G LTE
Tue, Jan 14 2014General Motors teased consumers two years ago when it showed off a Chevrolet Volt decked out with 4G LTE connectivity. More details were finally unveiled this month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas: the 2015 Chevy Volt will have a 4G LTE option and will offer consumers an as-yet-unpriced option with much faster wireless internet connection and more smartphone apps. GM's OnStar has teamed up with AT&T to come up with several mobile apps alongside the roadside assistance. The Volt joins the 2015 Corvette, Impala and Malibuz models that will debut with a 4G LTE option this year. The first four 4G ChevroLTE models will be released this summer and will be joined by the Spark (EV and gas versions), Equinox, Silverado and Silverado HD. GM has yet to announce whether any Cadillac or Buick models will get the 4G option. Chevrolet Accelerates to 4G LTE Speeds in 2014 Bowtie brand models in U.S. and Canada to get OnStar 4G LTE by summer LAS VEGAS – Starting this summer, Chevrolet will have some of the fastest vehicles on the roads, and that has nothing to do with horsepower. Chevrolet drivers will be enjoying high-speed data - made possible by a new OnStar 4G LTE connection in the vehicle, running on AT&T's network, the nation's fastest and most reliable 4G LTE network. Chevrolet today announced at the Consumer Electronics Show that the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Malibu, and Volt would be the first General Motors' vehicles to come optionally equipped with OnStar 4G LTE. They will be followed by the Equinox, Silverado, Silverado HD, Spark and Spark EV. In the Canadian market, OnStar with 4G LTE will be introduced on the Chevrolet Trax as well. The majority of the 2015 Chevrolet lineup in the U.S and Canada will have a 4G LTE connection built-in at vehicle launch. More models will be announced later this year. "Chevrolet is expected to implement the broadest deployment of 4G LTE in the automotive industry," said Alan Batey, senior vice president of Global Chevrolet. "The fact that OnStar with 4G LTE will be available in models that range from the Chevrolet Spark to the Silverado to the Corvette, is indicative of our broad commitment to deliver more value and convenience through smart technology applications.
Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
