Up for auction is this -  2000 CHEVY IMPALA LS with the 3.8L V6 Series II   sunroof, spoiler, power everything, 178,000 miles (the ride and drive is nice)  The 3.8L V6 engine is known for its dependability and performance, many consider this engine to be as good as it gets and very sought after! The MOTOR and Transmission both are rock solid and the car can be driven anywhere anytime with total confidence.  The car comes with 1 key and 1 fob (the key is not chipped so very inexpensively duplicated) CLEAN CLEAR TITLE in hand with ACTUAL miles-   the electrical is good as all the power interior options work (i.e. AC, Heat, radio, power driver chair, windows, locks, cruise, steering wheel controls etc) the exterior lights all work also just fine (i.e. turn signals, break lights, reverse lights, head lights)

The car has NO RUST or BODY damage to mention- its clear coat is still there and looks very pretty when cleaned-  the interior is in above average condition (could use good shampoo) with no rips or tears in any of the Gray colored Cloth seats.. the floors are solid and also are in fair shape just needing a shampoo treatment as well but have no holes or major defects..      The mechanical side of this car is solid and ready to be driven daily and will make the winning bidder a nice car to own-

The very few cosmetic flaws:   driver side back window, not the big window but the tiny smaller back window is spidered, not busted out but spidered (see pic) it does not take on any water or moisture when it rains, it stays dry! The front bumper drivers side under the front drivers side fog light has about a 6 to 8 inch crack in it and I have covered it with black tape (see pic) - finally the car has had dual exhaust put on it aftermarket and one of the two duals is off its hanger and lose, still there and not going anywhere and there is a small hole in it so it makes the car a little louder than it should be, this has no affect at all on the ride and drive of this car and doesn't even have to be addressed if not desired by buying party.    There are also a few scratches in the paint, hard to see until close up to the car but I just wanna be honest and note the fact there are some scratches in the paint- but no body damage or wrecks--     We have just put a brand new battery in this car and the old one is in the trunk and the winner will get the old battery as well-- tires are good 2 of which are real good and the other 2 aren't bad-- we also just had the front brakes done (pads) and the ABS light came on and it is still on, the brakes are good and to drive it is obvious!

This Car carries a NADA retail value of roughly 4,500.00 with the miles and options plugged inn- we understand that its not as good as it needs to be to get that kind of money for this car so we have decided to offer this car with *************NO RESERVE*********** allowing the highest bid to WIN- and we have set the opening Bid bench mark well below the value of the car allowing us a for sure sell and we do value eBay and our score so we want you the buyers to be pleased and excited about owning a car for a very fair price!!!

Please feel free to ask any questions about this car and we will do everything we can to help explain or answer your question! Please ask prior to placing a bid so we can eliminate any issues or concerns as we do expect all placed bids to be honored as placed..

Local Pick up ONLY or shipping to be paid for and arranged by buying party.   300.00 PayPal deposit within 24 hrs of auction close with payment in full made in person at pick up (cash only if paying in person) or via PayPal within 7 days..

This is a nice car with some minor things needing addressed but this AWESOME 3.8L V6 Series II and transmission are rock solid and ready to be driven anywhere anytime--

thanks and best of luck to all bidders-

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.

Impala SS vs. Marauder: Recalling Detroit’s muscle sedans

Thu, Apr 30 2020

Impala SS vs. Marauder — it was comparo that only really happened in theory. ChevyÂ’s muscle sedan ran from 1994-96, while MercuryÂ’s answer arrived in 2003 and only lasted until 2004. TheyÂ’re linked inextricably, as there were few options for powerful American sedans during that milquetoast period for enthusiasts. The debate was reignited recently among Autoblog editors when a pristine 1996 Chevy Impala SS with just 2,173 miles on the odometer hit the market on Bring a Trailer. Most of the staff favored the Impala for its sinister looks and said that it lived up to its billing as a legit muscle car. Nearly two-thirds of you agree. We ran an unscientific Twitter poll that generated 851 votes, 63.9 percent of which backed the Impala. Muscle sedans, take your pick: — Greg Migliore (@GregMigliore) April 14, 2020 Then and now enthusiasts felt the Impala was a more complete execution with guts. The Marauder, despite coming along later, felt more hacked together, according to prevailing sentiments. Why? On purpose and on paper theyÂ’re similar. The ImpalaÂ’s 5.7-liter LT1 V8 making 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque was impressive for a two-ton sedan in the mid-Â’90s. The Marauder was actually more powerful — its 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 302 hp and 318 lb-ft. The ImpalaÂ’s engine was also used in the C4 Corvette. The MarauderÂ’s mill was shared with the Mustang Mach 1. You can see why they resonated so deeply with Boomers longing for a bygone era and also captured the attention of coming-of-age Gen Xers. Car and DriverÂ’s staff gave the Marauder a lukewarm review back in ‘03, citing its solid handling and features, yet knocking the sedan for being slow off the line. In a Hemmings article appropriately called “Autopsy” from 2004, the ImpalaÂ’s stronger low-end torque and smooth shifting transmission earned praise, separating it from the more sluggish Mercury. All of this was captured in the carsÂ’ acceleration times, highlighting metrically the differences in their character. The Impala hit 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds, while the Marauder was a half-second slower, according to C/D testing. Other sites have them closer together, which reinforces the premise it really was the little things that separated these muscle cars. Both made the most of their genetics, riding on ancient platforms (FordÂ’s Panther and General MotorsÂ’ B-body) that preceded these cars by decades. Both had iconic names.
