Up for grabs is a 1994 Mustang SVT Cobra. Lots of recent maintenance work done: (Front end) New factory control arms, control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, Eibach springs, new struts, brakes, rotors, sway bar links, etc. After the front end work was done, the car got a four wheel alignment and a new set of tires. The tires have 75-80% life remaining. The car has a relatively new paint job, and still looks very nice. The interior shows some wear, but is overall in excellent condition given the age and mileage of the car. It has aftermarket wheels with locking lug nuts. This car has been a daily driver for years. We have bought a new car and just don't drive this one much anymore. This car sounds really good! It does have a few issues that may need to be addressed: there is a crack in the windshield, but it does not obstruct view, Safelite repair quote stated $250 for complete windshield replacement. The airbag light is on (left side impact sensor has apparently gone bad). The emergency brake is a little jacked up (the mount under the console needs to be re-secured, and perhaps the cable replaced or lubed). The clutch pedal is VERY stiff, but does not hinder function. If you are a quick shifter, third gear will sometimes grind a little (synchro rings could use replacement). I've driven the car pretty much daily for the last year or two, and never been left walking. Although it could use some love, this car is pretty sharp for an oldie with quite a few miles. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, so you will own this car if you are the highest bidder. Please make sure that you are ready to own this car if you enter a bid. All care has been taken to fairly evaluate the current state of this car, but nothing can replace due diligence on the part of the buyer. If you are extra picky, please make an effort to view this car in person prior to bidding. Terms of the sale are CASH ONLY, in person, unless you contact me PRIOR TO BIDDING to discuss some other arrangement. If you are not a cash only, in person kind of buyer, you must contact me prior to bidding to discuss your situation. A deposit of $500 via paypal is required within 24 hours of auction end unless you plan to complete the sale within the 24 hour period. |

Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed. GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
