Up for auction is a 1967 Impala. The car has a chromed out 327 motor with a mild cam that was completly rebuilt under 100 miles ago. It is set up with a full msd igniton with billet distributor. Car is equipped with headers in front of a brand new Magna flow exhaust that really sounds good. It sits on 22" chrome wheels. The entire front end and rear end have been rebuilt. It has brand new custom interior with "Impala" and "67" embroided on the door panels and under back window and also on floor mats. This beautiful Impala has airbrushing on each door and trunk lid that reads "Impala". "Chevrolet" is airbrushed on the front hood and the impala logo is airbrushed on each fender. I almost forgot that the guage cluster has been airbrushed as well. Please go through all the pics so you can see all the time that was spent on this car. I will try to name all the stuff that is new on this car but it is rather hard because its almost everything. Here's whats new...all the outside chrome trim, both tail lights, front windshield, both interior and exterior door handles, all window cranks, all floor pedals, both door and trunk locks, all gas lines, brake lines and tranny lines, radiator, water pump, alternator, intake, valve covers, air filter, msd ignition, I'm sure theres much more but you get the idea. what the car needs to be finished is the bumpers to be rechromed, a dash pad, the arm rest to be upholstered the correct color, steering wheel to be correct color, there may be a few things that I've forgotten, but as you can see, these are not major issues. The car does have a few imperfections in the paint but overall a great car for the money. It is also prewired with "0" guage wire and all the rca's and speaker wire you would need to put a high end audio system in it if you choose to do so. That reminds me that every inch of the floor board and roof is covered in dyan mat. This helps with road noise, insulation, rattling, you name it. Bid confidently on this true one of a kind car. All questions will be answered quickly. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours from end of auction. The remainder will only be accepted through paypal or certified check and must be recieved within 7 days from end of auction. The car is sold as is and is located in Springfield, Mo. Feel free to come see the car before bidding. I will help with shipment of the car to anywhere in the US once car has been paid in full.

This 450-hp electric Lotus Evora is powered by Tesla and Chevrolet
Tue, May 9 2017When someone mentions an electric Lotus, the first thing that comes to mind is the Tesla Roadster, the California-based automaker's first vehicle. That car started life as an Elise before being heavily massaged and adapted by Tesla's engineers. In a similar spirit, the people at Onpoint Dyno are close to finishing Blue Lightning, a track-ready all-electric Lotus Evora. Blue Lightning uses a Tesla drive unit and a Chevrolet Volt battery pack, both mounted in the middle in place of the Evora's 3.5-liter Toyota V6. It's putting down about 450 horsepower at the wheels. The car was built for time attack sessions, so power is fed through custom forged wheels and super sticky Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires, the same ones found on the last Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. There is a custom digital instrument cluster in place of the Lotus gauges. There's also a regen paddle on the left side of the steering wheel. With a full charge, Blue Lighting should go about 120 miles. While the car runs under its own power, it's only about 90 percent complete. It has no power steering, no firewall in between the seats and the motor and battery pack, no A/C, and a large hole where the shift lever used to be. Other final touches include fine-tuning the brakes and suspension. There is also a custom rear bumper coming that should make it look more like the new Lotus Evora 400. Onpoint Dyno expects the car to hit the track in the next month or so. Related Video:

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed.
