1965 Impala Ss on 2040-cars

Year:1965 Mileage:99691
Location:

1965 IMPALA SS,  no engine or trans, I was going to do a frame off but I just don't have the time or desire anymore. The seats, instrument panel console Tach are all origional and seem to be in very good shape. the hood and deck have surface rust but seem solid and true. The glass all looks to be in good shape. The rest I was going to replace. Make no mistake this is a project car. It is a true SS with P/S. This car has sat at my farm for over 20 years and I am never going to get to it, so:  Bid to WIN.

On Feb-23-14 at 14:01:37 PST, seller added the following information:

the car came with a 327 and auto trans, the floor pans and panels would need replaced in my opinion. as I said in my original comments I was going to do a frame off and intended to replace all the panels. I am not a car builder by profession, I build cars for my enjoyment and as a hobby. Unfortunately I work 60 to 70 hours a week so some projects are never going to get done. I attached a few more pics. There is a radiator and alternator in the trunk with some misc parts. I wouldn't depend on any of them being usable.

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala

Fri, 31 May 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.

GM Halts Sale Of Most Chevy Cruze Models

Fri, Mar 28 2014

General Motors has told dealers to stop selling some 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Cruze compact cars. But the company won't say why. Dealers say stop-sale orders are routine and almost always made to fix a safety problem. They received the order in an e-mail Thursday, but no reason was given. The move comes as GM deals with fallout from a delayed recall of 1.6 million older small cars to fix an ignition switch problem. The company says the switches can slip out of the run position and shut down the engine. That causes loss of power steering and brakes and disables air bags. GM says the problem has been linked to 31 crashes and at least a dozen deaths. Spokesman Greg Martin says he has no details on the Cruze. Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
