1964 impala SS factory 4 speed ac car. The engine only, is not # matching. nicely built Sbc 350, gear drive, edelbrock intake manifold, 4 barrel carb, headman headers and new glass pack's that sound great. 3.55 gear ratio with the 4 speed and a Healthy 350 make for a nice driving musclecar, Unlike the automatic Powerglide. Door Handles have been shaved, body trim deleted and interior restored when restoration was done, approx late 80's. interior is in very nice shape, From the door panels, front bucket seats, rear seats, carpet, instrument cluster, headliner and dash pad. Louvered Hood Was add as well. Body is nice and paint is decent. when passing buy or standing a few feet away. Paint looks near flawless making for a great daily driver. This 64 is a turn key driver the way it sits and looks great. If you're looking to make perfection, this piece is a great Candidate, for one, it's a factory 4 speed car which Makes it that much more desirable and two, it's a super sport making a great Combination for future profits. Metal and undercarriage are very dry and seem to be solid( as seen in pictures) with a few spots of minor Surface rust Forming over a couple of paint scratch that have happened in the past. For the price range, this is a great family cruiser or for a drive to local car show's. I have taken additional photos and videos, to help you in making a clear buying decision. Please call with questions. Thanks for your time. I sell driver's Brian Wilson. 2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment
Thu, 07 Nov 2013That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.
Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
