This auction is for a 1963 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe . I have owned this for a number of years with the intention of makeing a resto mod but I can see I am never going to get to it So I am offering it on ebay . The car does need a complete restoration but parts are readily available through many different vendors. When I got the car someone had primed it black. I stripped all the black paint off so you can see what you have to work with. The fenders, doors and quarters do have some areas of rust through but are surprisingly not as bad as they appear. The fenders only have a small rust hole at the bottom, the inner door bottoms are solid, just some rust holes on the outer skin that can easily be repaired and same with the quarters. The quarters have never been cut and are solid around the wheel lips and inner quarters are solid. Doors still open and close like new. Heck thats still the original turquois paint under the primer and touch up! Rockers are nice and solid. Frame is good and solid just surface rust. Floors and braces are intact but they have holes here and there so they will need replacement. Trunk extensions are intact but trunk middle is gone. There is also some erosion on the trunk gutter and portions will need replacement. Trunk lid still latches fine. Hood has some rust through on the back side that can be fixed. Car has all deep tinted glass. Windshield is broke (replacement provided). Interior is all intact but needs to be redone. The car originally was a 283 V-8 stick on the column. There is a hole where somebody put a floor shift at one time. The standard column is still intact as are the clutch and brake pedals. Standard shift drive shaft is included. I had a nice low mileage 1964 Impala 283, 4 BBL, Power Pack Motor and Power Glide Transmission that runs great that I have been saving and Im including it in the sale of the car. I just set it in place for transporting. Also included will be a radiator, fan and fan shroud, complete wiring harness, glove box door, the automatic drive shaft along with the standard one. A complete automatic steering column and correct steering wheel and any other misclaneous parts I may have. Car rolls fine but no brakes. Please bid only if you have intentions of following through with the sale! Sold on a bill of sale only. If you need a title in your state, I am willing to register the car and with that and our dealer transfer paperwork you will get a title. Can store the car until spring as long as it is paid for in advance. If you need more pics or info feel free to call or email us at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and sundays

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut
Thu, 07 Mar 2013We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.
Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
Junkyard Gem: 1985 Chevrolet Sprint
Thu, May 21 2020For in the 1985 model year, General Motors began selling Chevrolet-badged Suzuki Cultus hatchbacks in California. Sales of the cheap three-cylinder econobox in the rest of North America followed soon after (with the Canadian version known as the Pontiac Firefly), and did pretty well considering the crash in gasoline prices during the middle 1980s. Starting in 1988, the facelifted Sprint became the Geo (and, later on, Chevrolet) Metro. Here's one of the very first Cultuses sold on our shores, found in a San Francisco Bay Area car graveyard. Amazingly, the primitive rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet Chevette remained available all the way through 1987, competing with the thriftier front-wheel-drive Sprint in the same showrooms. For 1988, Pontiac started selling a rebadged Daewoo LeMans, so the Sprint/Metro never lacked for intra-corporate competition. Inside, you'll find the same stuff most mid-1980s Japanese econoboxes got: tough cloth upholstery and long-wearing hard plastics. Suzuki quality in 1985 wasn't quite up to Honda or Toyota levels, but you weren't paying Honda or Toyota prices for the Sprint. MSRP on this car started at $4,949, or about $12,000 in 2020 dollars. The cheapest possible 1985 Chevette cost $5,340, while a new no-frills Ford Escort would set you back $5,620. Subaru, however, could have put you in a punitively unappointed base-model Leone hatchback for just 40 bucks more than the Sprint that year. I think I'd have sprung the extra for a $5,348 Toyota Tercel, a $5,195 Mazda GLC, or— best cheap-commuter deal of all that year— the $5,399 Honda Civic 1300 hatchback. I was 19 years old and driving a Competition Orange 1968 Mercury Cyclone that year, and I recall feeling pity for Chevy Sprint drivers, new-car smell or not. Still, these weren't bad cars for the price, though a Sprint with an automatic transmission was a real character-builder. Got three cylinders and uses 'em all! 48 horsepower from this hemi-headed SOHC 1-liter. The Turbo Sprint — yes, such a car existed — had a howling 70 horsepower. The hood-latch release is a rectangular button that resembles a badge. 1985 Chevy Sprint Commercial The highest-mileage, lowest-priced car you can buy. 1985 holden barina commercial The Australian-market version was the Holden Barina, and the TV ads featured the Road Runner. 1983 SUZUKI CULTUS Ad In its homeland, this car got screaming guitars and a drive through New York City for its TV commercials.
