1962 Chevrolet Imapala Ss 327 Turbo-fire V8 Convertible Red/white Top on 2040-cars
Lebanon, Missouri, United States
In 1962 Chevrolet sold nearly 100,000 cars that would forever be known as an Impala SS. The SS kit was made available to consumers during the middle of the production year for $53.80. The Super Sport kit included spinner wheel covers, SS badges, and a glove box grab bar. This particular car also came with a factory Kleenex holder. Pushing this car is a 327 Turbo-Fire V8, making 250 Hp. The red vinyl interior is complimented by a white top and 4 ply polyester whitewalls. The Impala has recently been removed from the museum and was noted to having been in a fully functional state when it was returned. While there is no such thing as a perfect car, I believe that this is one of the nicest examples that is out on the market today, showing only 2,295 miles on the odometer. The mileage is however unverified. The Interior has a like new glow to it, the whitewalls are bright and hold air well, the paint and top have little to no wear on them either. In my opinion this car runs and drives beautifully and would be a great addition to any museum, or an Impala enthusiasts garage. I would like for anyone with interest in this car to come look at it. This car has spent the most recent part of its life in a family owned and maintained museum. We have loved this car, however we are trying to downsize our operations. This is just one car, of several cars, that we would like to see find a good home. Thank you for your interest and consideration in this vehicle. If you would like to see the car in person, or would like more information or pictures, I encourage you to contact me by phone, text, or Email. My name is Michael and I can be reached at 417.664.1313 or EvergreenCarGuy@Gmail.com. Again, thank you for your interest and consideration. This car must be picked up within 30 days of the auctions end, and paid for before it is removed from the museum. I will not be responsible for shipping this car, but I am willing to offer my assistance in arranging transportation for the new owner. I hold the right to sell this car outside of eBay, and may terminate this auction at any time, for any reason. This car comes with no warranty expressed or implied. |

GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show
Thu, Dec 15 2016Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video
Mon, 11 Feb 2013If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.
Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra flunk IIHS headlight test
Tue, Oct 25 2016The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put pickup truck headlights to the test and found that the majority of them were equipped with subpar units. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to earn a rating of "good." The large pickup truck test was comprised of the: 2016 to 2017 GMC Sierra, 2017 Nissan Titan, 2016 Ram 1500, 2016 to 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2016 to 2017 Ford F-150, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. The Sierra's headlights earned a rating of "acceptable," the headlights found on the Titan and Ram 1500 were found to be "marginal," and the ones on the Silverado, F-150, and Tundra were rated as "poor." IIHS claims the F-150 was the most disappointing out of the large pickup trucks as both its halogen and optional LED headlights failed to provide adequate visibility during testing. The Ridgeline (which earned a "good rating"), is usually considered a midsize or small truck, though IIHS included it in the field of large pickups. The headlights on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2016 Nissan Frontier, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which made up the small pickup truck group, all earned a rating of "poor." The IIHS claimed the Colorado had the worst headlights of any truck that was tested, as the base vehicle's units were only able to illuminate up to 123 feet in front of the car. The Ridgeline's headlights, for reference, were able to illuminate up to 358 feet in front of the vehicle. To conduct its test, the IIHS utilizes a special tool to measure how far light is projected out of the headlights in different driving situations. The trucks' headlights were tested in a straight line and in corners, while vehicles with high-beam assist were given extra praise. The headlights on the pickup trucks also mimic the testing that was done on small SUVs and cars earlier this year. Next year, automakers will need to fit their vehicles with headlights that earn a rating of either good or acceptable to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. Related Video:
