You are bidding on a 1961 BelAir Sport Coupe. Also known as a "Bubbletop". These cars are rare. This car has had a lot done to it. It has been stripped down and everything sandblasted. The frame was painted with POR-15 black. All new bushings, joints, bearings, ect. It has been C notched in the rear and the four corners bagged. All unwanted holes have been smoothed. The original rear end was narrowed 6 inches and mossier axels installed with new bearings. The rear trailing arms are boxed and huge front and rear sway bars put on. With a 70 Z28 fast ratio steering box and pitman arm, the steering is super fast. 4 wheel dics brakes installed. The body was put on a rotisserie. New floors installed, new full rockers, firewall smoothed, 18' wide tubs installed, gas tank reloacted, trunk floors made, doors shaved, trim shaved, exhaust tips half recessed in front of the rear wheel openings, and gas filler neck shaved. The underside of the body is painted with POR 15 also. The air bags are plumbed to the trunk with valve stems to pump them up. The compressor, tank, and all 3/8" valves are included but not installed. The wheels that are on the car in the pics have been sold and do not come with the car. All of the original interior is included, but is very rough and is just for patterns and roof bow locations.
The motor is a 93 LT1 with a carb on it. Its been bored and stroked, with ported heads and a custom ground comp cam. Gross lift .541/.544, duration @.050 is 230/236. 4K has been spent on the motor. Croppers Machine shop in flemingsburg KY did all the motor work. About 450 horse. The trans is a 6 speed maual from a 93 Z28.
The car has a Jegs wiring harness with dolphine gauges that are all hooked up besides the speedo. The car needs all of the interior. I have the front and rear seats out of a avalon that are included. They are tan leather.
The BAD about this car is that on the first test drive out the paassenger rear wheel came off at about 15-20 mph and messed up the tub, trunk floor and quarter. When it hit the ground it put a small spot right behind the back glass on the passenger side, a spot on the top of the quarter above the tub on the drivers side, and a small "oil can" on the driver side just in front of the wheel opening. I had two different shops look at it and they both said that the car was not warpped or twisted. They both also said that that quarter panel can be saved, straighened out, and used. I have been working on this car for years and im tired of seeing it take up space in my garage. This would be a very cool ride if someone finished it. Most of the pics were taken before the wheel came off and wrecked it. The close up pics are of the damage afterwards. Call/text me with any questions 859-585-2659. I WILL NOT trade for a bike, trike, or boat.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
Car Club USA: Louisiana Mudfest
Tue, Jun 16 2015There's nothing quite like mudding. Big tires, huge power, and crazy-wild gearheads that like to throw down on a mud pit almost as much as a thirty rack of Coors. In the latest, and some might argue greatest yet episode of Car Club USA, we head to Louisiana to throw some dirt at Mudfest. As Louisiana's one and only Mouth of the South puts it, "If you don't mud ride... go to Texas I guess." Joining The Mouth and friendly rivals The Most Hated Mud Sluts, we dive in. Beyond the obvious V8 blasting and tractor-tire spinning, those who know best describe Mudfest as, "Good cooking, good friends, good fun, and a lot of partying." It's a motorsport spectacle unlike any you're likely to find up North or out West, though no less impressive to behold. Follow along with the fun, the impromptu drag racing, the trash talking, and the mechanical madness. And find out why, at Mudfest, "if we don't tear it up, we ain't done it right." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. From Main Street cruises to off-road trails, catch all the latest car club activity on Autoblog. Chevrolet Ford Jeep RAM Truck Off-Road Vehicles Car Club USA Videos autoblog black
GMC Envoy could be returning as GM files for 'Envoy' trademark
Thu, Dec 27 2018The GMC Envoy could be on its way back, if a recent GM trademark filing is any indication of the future. To be exact, GM's trademark filing is for the name "Envoy," and is applicable to "motor vehicles, namely, sport utility vehicles, engines therefor and structural parts thereof." A victim of the recession and high gas prices, the original Envoy – related to the Blazer, and more recently the TrailBlazer and similar GM SUVs – was discontinued after the 2009 model year. In today's SUV-happy market of low gas prices, unearthing the somewhat familiar Envoy name makes a certain amount of sense. As soon as gas prices start trending in the other direction, we'll all be saying the opposite, though. What this SUV will take shape as is the big question now. With the Chevrolet Blazer well and truly on its way, there's every reason for a GMC version of Chevy's stylish new crossover sporting the Envoy name. Another, less likely, possibility is a Traverse-sized vehicle to slot between the shorter Acadia (10 inches shorter than the Chevy Traverse) and the body-on-frame Yukon. GM could come out of left field and make the Envoy a Buick too. It fits the bill with the "En" beginning, and Buick undoubtedly has crossovers in the works. We think that's even more unlikely, but it's important to remember that we're still in the speculation phase. Soon we'll drive Chevy's new Blazer, and perhaps have more news then. Check in next week for that. Related video:
