'96 Chevrolet Impala SS (Super Sport)

Truly a classic, the '96 is the most desirable Impala SS in its three year run and this was the last year for the full size Impala. Totally stock and original, numbers matching, This model comes standard with a 5.7L 350 cubic inch LT1 V8 engine, 260 bhp, with 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission, 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Limited slip differential, rear wheel drive. Fully loaded with all options, power everything. AM/FM stereo CD player. Dark cherry exterior with gray leather bucket seats, power 6 way driver and passenger seats, and center shift console.

As a stock package this beast came with massive 17" x 8.5 five spoke cast alloy wheels fitted with huge p255/ 50zr17 tires.

This car has always been garaged since new. I am the third owner and the first owner purchased the car fully loaded, kept it in an air controlled garage and hardly ever drove it.

The only flaws are cosmetic: the clear coat is peeling off the left rear wheel and the dash has some fading marks. Otherwise it's like a brand new car.

I have all documentation since new, including the chip that can be installed to increase the horsepower. (It really has plenty already!)

Clear title in hand. Currently insured through Hagerty, so they even consider this a collectible classic!

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
