2004 Chevrolet Quality Coach Conversion Luxury Van on 2040-cars

Year:2004 Mileage:164000
Location:

Avon, Indiana, United States

Avon, Indiana, United States

For sale is a LOADED 2004 Chevrolet Express Explorer Conversion Van.  It was used to travel, so most of its 164K miles were highway.  This van has every conceivable option offered in 2004, including 17" Flip-down TV, DVD Player, Cassette/CD/Radio, additional CD player (Sony) with 11-disc magazine changer, 2 heated and cooled drink holders, heated front seats, leather upholstery (all seats), fold down rear sofa, 110VAC electrical outlet, 2 wireless headphones (so the driver does not have to suffer through kids-movies being played), front and rear heat and air-conditioning, power locks, power windows, 6-way power seats (front), power heated side mirrors, cruise, all sorts of interior lighting, storage places, and window shades everywhere.  Drive train is a 5.3L V8, 4-speed automatic, posi-traction rear axle, and fairly new tires.  Has a Category 3 hitch with a 7-pin round wiring connector.  Has electric brake controller installed. There's a lot of good miles left in this cruiser.

I am the second owner of this van, and purchased it in 2007 with 16,000 miles on it.  It has had regular maintenance (3000-mile oil changes) and repairs as needed.  The water pump was recently replaced and most of the front suspension rebuilt, re-shocked, re-bushed, with new tie-rod ends and spindles installed. Has excellent tires, new belts, and a brand new $200 NAPA battery installed.  It starts, runs, drives, shifts as new...NO funny noises, smells, leaks, or smoke.  Speaking of smoke, this van has NEVER been smoked in.

Here's the negatives...The running board rubber mats need replaced (see pictures), the front bumper has a golf-ball sized dent in it, and a few little nicks here and there as expected on a 10-year old vehicle.  The driver-side side doors hinges need freeing-up.  These doors rarely got used, so the hinges froze up...need hinges removed and cleaned to fix.  The original 12" TV was removed from the upper rear panel.  A 17" screen replaced it, but the original hole in the panel is there.  As long as the TV screen in flipped down, it covers the hole.  Not a big deal, I'm but trying to accurately describe the defects.

I am starting this auction at a price WAY BELOW any book value...retail, wholesale, loan because I need to sell quickly.  We traded our pop-up camper (that this van used to haul) in for a travel trailer that requires a much bigger pickup to pull...so I am what is called a "motivated seller".

You are invited to ask all the questions you need, and to personally view and drive the vehicle.  Successful bidder will be required to PAYPAL down payment of $200 immediately.  Cash or bank check upon pickup, title sent when check clears.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head

Fri, Jan 30 2015

"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years

Fri, Feb 21 2014

Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up. GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
