For sale is a very nice 2000 Chevy High Top Conversion Van by Gladiator. It is not the fanciest van I have ever owned but it is in the nicest shape for a 2000 that I have seen. The paint shines like new and the interior is in very nice shape with no tears or rips in the leather seats. Even the carpeting is in really good condition. I just returned from a trip of approximately 3000 miles and the van couldn't have done better except for the flat tire. I put two new tires on the front and the rears are in very good shape with about three quarter tread. It has all the typical conversion amenities such as power seats, windows , mood lighting, tv, vcr, dvd, bed, shades, rear stereo, wood accents, cabinets etc. The AC blows ice cold front and rear. Right now the van has 111,229 miles on it. I am not planning any long trips but I do use it occasionally for local trips. I think I am the 3rd owner. I bought it from a chevy dealer and it was his personal vehicle that he used to go to football games in. He took it in trade from people who he told me took their shoes off when they got in it. This vehicle has been very well maintained. I would say much better than most. I have bought vehicles in the past that when you get them home you still have to put money in them. You can jump in this van and go wherever you want without doing anything to it. It has the 5.7 liter V8 and if you have ever had that motor in a vehicle you know the power and reliability. The general consensus from everyone I have ever talked to is they are 250,000 mile motord. By the way the transmission shifts as smooth as silk. I don't know what else I can say to explain how nice this is other than to say I am very picky when it comes to my cars and it took me over 6 months to find this van. Sorry about the sideways pictures but I couldn.t get them upright. Good luck bidding and to the winner you are getting a great van. .

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
Retro Wrong: MotorWeek shares first unaired pilot episode
Fri, Apr 17 2015MotorWeek is an automotive institution in the United States. We all have to get our start somewhere though, and for the latest entry in the Retro Review series, the show is releasing its unaired pilot for the first time. Even today, the program isn't necessarily the most exciting thing on TV, but the modern incarnation looks like Top Gear compared to this original, very monotone attempt. The cars on display are more interesting from a historical aspect than actually being behind the wheel. MotorWeek puts the Chevrolet Citation and Ford Fairmont head to head. If you want to see progress in the auto industry, look here. The Fairmont manages a rousing 85 horsepower from a 3.3-liter inline six, and the Citation does only a little better with a 115-hp, 2.8-liter V6. The other highlight comes at the end when John Davis talks about the cars of the future. These include the upcoming introduction of the Ford Escort in the US and the mention of a possible gasoline-electric hybrid from General Motors. Given this pilot, it's amazing MotorWeek ever got the green light. However, if you're a fan of auto history, seeing the news from the past is always fascinating. Hoons off-road in a lowrider Monte Carlo in latest Roadkill video
Wed, May 6 2015Specialization keeps the automotive world interesting because it creates all sorts of fun niches. For example, if you like hot rods, you can dive deep into the world of rat rods or just focus on cars with a more traditional look. In some cases the myriad styles don't mix very well, of course, and the folks at Roadkill are proving that on video by attempting to take a lowrider Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on dirt. As you might expect, forcing a lowrider off-road doesn't go well, but the stunt makes for a great chronicle of dumb, automotive fun. Other than some repairs to get the Monte Carlo roadworthy, the only modification here is a set of knobby tires to achieve at least a modicum of traction on the loose rocks. Although, no matter what they do, at the even lowest speeds the hosts inside are still bounced around like they're in an inflatable castle at a kid's birthday party. Still, the guys are clearly amused by it all.
