68 Chevrolet Chevelle El Camino
Up for sale is a nice little 68 Chevelle El Camino power by a fresh 350 engine backed up by a TH350 transmission. Out back is a Ford 9" rear end. Car has tilt column, power steering and power brakes. A lot of new parts replaced and work has been done in the past year on this car. Mechanically and electrically the car has been completely gone through. The car runs and drives great. Drive it anywhere. The interior has been freshened up but not new. The body appears straight but the passenger fender does have a high spot. I have done very little to the body as you can see. If you like them shiny it will need a paint job and other cosmetic items freshened up to make it pretty. Nice little hot rod for someone that wants to make it their own but not do a full restoration. I've listed a lot below that done to the car recently.
Parts Replaced
Radiator: Is an all aluminum welded performance 3 row unit. It cools the car well.
Radiator shroud
Brake master cylinder
Power brake booster
Front brake cylinders
Front brake lines (rubber lines replaced with stainless braided versions)
Fuel sending unit
Upper and lower front control arm bushings
Upper and lower ball joints
Front wheel bearings
Front anti-sway bar (larger performance unit)
Front and rear springs (car sits nice)
Front and rear shocks
Steering box was replaced with a late model quick ratio version and the rag joint was eliminated and replaced with a universal joint type shaft. (Steering is solid and has a more modern feel).
Ignition switch and cylinder along with multiple other switches.
Installed is an aftermarket tachometer that replaces the factory clock. Looks factory and works great.
Tires are new
The exhaust is all custom with all mandrel alumized bends, tig welded, stainless X-pipe and Flow master mufflers.
New Accelerator cable
Transmission is fresh out of Cook's Transmission shop. It has had their Street/Strip treatment. B&M Z-gate shifter installed.
Engine: Small block 350, aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, HEI ignition, full length headers. The engine was fresh when I bought the car but I didn't build it. What I did do is replace the cam and lifters with a mild Summit unit, Z28 valve springs, Summit fuel pump, MSD plug wires and the HEI distributor is a new performance unit.
Lots of other small miscellaneous parts replaced and work done.
Front end had been professionally aligned.
It is a factory air car but AC is not installed. It originally was a big block 396 car and the badges are still on the car. I just have other projects. If you have any further questions contact me.

Editors' Picks August 2021 | Honda Civic, Mercedes S-Class and more
Thu, Sep 9 2021This month of Editors' Picks saw us award the honor to a couple of redesigned stalwarts like the Honda Civic and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Plus, a new crossover that splits the difference between the compact and subcompact class takes home the prize. On top of this, we'll introduce you to a new term: midcompact. We'll be using this to describe those in-between crossovers that are a tad too small to be considered compact, but too large to neatly fit into the subcompact class. For a few examples of these "midcompact" cars, we'll point you to the Ford Bronco Sport, Kia Seltos and VW Seltos. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in August that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2021 Genesis G70 2022 Genesis G70 View 26 Photos Quick take: Genesis hits all the right buttons with its G70. It's attractive, fun to drive and can be had for a fair price. Enthusiasts should give it a shot before taking home one of its German competitors. Score: 8 What it competes with: Alfa Romeo Giulia, Lexus IS, Acura TLX, Infiniti Q50, Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Cadillac CT4, Volvo S60 Pros: Sharp handler, stunning exterior looks, strong engines Cons: Average interior, loses manual option, small backseat and trunk From the editors: News Editor Joel Stocksdale — "I was already a big fan of the Genesis G70. It has brilliant handling, and the twin-turbo V6 is a beast. It's even a bargain against the competition. And Genesis just made it look a lot better. I wish they'd done a bit more to update the interior, but it's still not a bad cabin. Besides, you won't think too much about it when you're hustling down a fun back road." Features Editor James Riswick — "Yes, it is small, but in a sport sedan segment where "sport" means increasingly less, the G70 still delivers (in part because of that smallness).
nuTonomy beats Uber to market with self-driving taxi rides, and the latest Corvette ZR1spy shots | Autoblog Minute
Sat, Aug 27 2016Software developer nuTonomy beats Uber to market with self-driving taxi rides in Singapore. A 124 Coupe could soon join Fiat's roadster lineup, and we have the latest spy shots of the new Corvette ZR!. Senior Editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Mintue. Senior Editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Mintue. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Massachusetts based software company, nuTonomy, launched its self-driving taxi service in Singapore this week. nuTonomy specializes in developing software for self-driving cars. Testing of the companies ride-hailing smartphone app occurred in Singapore, where riders were able to book a free driverless ride. nuTonomy's robo-taxi fleet is comprised of Renault Zoes and Mitsubishi i-MiEVs. Engineers from nuTonomy were present at this public launch as a safety measure. [00:00:30] The company will now continue to collect data and conduct more testing with its self-driving cars in Singapore, Michigan and the United Kingdom. nuTonomy has plans to offer widely-available commercial service in Singapore in 2018. nuTonomy's aggressive play in Singapore has put Uber and its partner Volvo in the unlikely position of playing catch-up. Autocar reported this week that we should expect FCA to add a Coupe [00:01:00] to it's 124 roadster lineup. When? Well, seeing as the 124 Spider just recently made it US dealers we may have to wait until next year to see a hardtop Fiata. It's tough to predict what kind of performance we can expect out of a 124 Coupe but in the U.S. the Spider has 160hp using a 1.4-l turbocharged engine. So the car you see in these pictures is actually Fiat's 124 Rally car that will be used for competition. [00:01:30] Now that's not exactly how the street car will look but it gives you an idea of what a 124 with a fixed roof is gonna look like. This week we got another look at what we think is the Chevy Corvette ZR1 and its massive rear wing. Now to be clear, the images that we're seeing are actually demonstrations. The car was actually captured without the rear wing. However, our spy photographers photoshopped the wing, which we've seen before, on some of these new shots just so you could get [00:02:00] a sense of what the car looks like driving around in it's most recent state. Now we think this car will make more than 700hp, which is kind of a magic number. The Hellcats from Chrysler make 707 so certainly GM wants to beat them.
