I WAS TRYING TO DUPLICATE THE ONE I SAW CHIP FOOSE DO ON OVER-HAULIN! BODY IS LASER STRAIGHT, PAINTED 13 MONTHS AGO, FLOOR PANS WERE NICELY PATCHED BEFORE I GOT THE TRUCK (NOT REPLACED). IN THE LAST TWELVE MONTHS I HAVE INSTALLED NEW EXHAULST, RALLEYS AND TIRES (NEW NOT USED) AND BENCH SEAT. MOTOR WAS REFRESHED LAST YEAR. I HAVE EVERYTHING THAT GOES BACK ON THE CAR. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBERS DRIVETRAIN WITH FACTORY AIR. MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. I CAN HELP YOUR SHIPPER LOAD IT. IT WILL CRANK UP AND DRIVE BUT BRAKES ARE FUNNY FROM SITTING SO LONG. MOTOR PURRS LIKE A KITTEN. THIS CAR IS BONE STOCK AND UN-MOLESTED EXCEPT FOR THE PAINT JOB AND WHEELS. I HAVE THE FACTORY HUB-CAPS ALSO. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
