3 DAY AUCTION ONLY!!!!! Up for bids is a 1977 Chevrolet Elcamino. This is a very sharp car and with just a few minor things it can be a road worthy daily driver. The car has been off the road for awhile is why some attention is needed before you can put it on the road, very minor but the few things do need to be taken care of first for reliability and safety concerns. It has a 350 engine which im sure is not original and a turbo 350 automatic trans. The engine runs and sounds great and the trans seems to shift as it should. The car seems to have all the air conditioning intact but will need charged. The Elcamino also has cruise control and all it needs to work is the cable that runs it from the underhood junction. Ive only run this car a little ways in order to checkout the trans etc so I cant say a lot about it mechanical wise other than what ive already covered. Its going to need front shocks, they are pretty easy to push down, the rear has air shocks and they seem to hold air just fine. The car has what I think is a set of camaro wheels and one center cap is missing. The tires are all worn out and will have to be replaced immediately. They hold air fine but arent any good. All the glass in this car seems good and they have a pretty nice tint on them with only minor peeling on one of them. The windows are manuel as are the locks. The carpet is decent, far from new but driver quality. The upper part of the door panels are real good but the bottom part have faded quite a bit. They make a paint for them that works really good but are fine as a driver just as they are. The seats are swivel buckets and it also has a center console. The seats are actually pretty decent as is the console. The bucket seat, console interior is pretty scarice on these cars. Headline seems good also It needs the passenger side seatbelt, drivers is there. The dash has had one of those molded covers put on it and it has one crack in the middle of it, still looks pretty decent. Someone has taken the radio out so the opening is there for a cd player or what ever you chose. The tilt wheel is nice and tight which is also rare for these cars. The paint is driver quality, it has several small scratches and nicks from years of use. It has had some rust repair in the past but doesnt seem to be coming back through so it must not have been very bad. Wheel wells seem good and the bedfloor is solid. There is some rust underneath as all these cars have, right rear floor pan is getting bad but the others seem pretty good, some better than others. The frame has no rust!! The paint looks decent to have been off the road for awhile and it still has a decent shine but not real nice when you get up close It has the rally or super sport stripes painted on the hood and a pinstrip going down the side which both make this Elcamino stand out.. The trim around the bed is dented up pretty good and the piece for the top of the tailgate is missing. Also the tailgate is dented up pretty good so you may want to look for a replacement if your going to do this car up right. Grille is good, rear bumper is driver quality with a few small dents in it, front bumper is messed up on the drivers side corner, think the pics show this. It has dual exhaust but one side has the tailpipe broken loose from the muffler which is an easy fix. Thats about all I know to tell you so if you have other questions just ask. Guys this is a very sharp car and as I said it needs very little work to make a really nice daily driver or weekend cruiser. Also remember it is a 77 model so be realistic and dont expect 07 condition. If you have less than 10 positive feedback you must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. Sorry but tired of all the non paying bidders and scams. I also reserve the right to end this auction early as I have the car for sale locally. Its a grat car guys so dont miss out. Checkout my 100% positive feedback which is well over 500. You dont get great feedback like that if you lie and cheat people, I tell it like it is. This Elcamino has a clear WV title ready to go. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide to bid on this great looking Elcamino. I require a $500 non-refundable deposit at auctions end and the balance in full within 3 days. I will work with your shipper and the cr can sit here awhile as long as its paid for according to auction terms. REMEMBER THIS IS A 3 DAY AUCTION ONLY!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!

Recharge Wrap-up: Volt makes up third of Quebec Chevy dealerships sales, Tesla seeks Aussie talent
Wed, Nov 5 2014A Chevrolet dealership in Quebec has had the Volt make up 35 percent of its sales so far this year. Bourgeois Chevrolet in Rawdon, Quebec received recognition for the feat at the 2014 Electric Vehicle Conference, where it won the award for Leading Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Dealership. To sell that many, Bourgeois Chevrolet had to import used Volts from the US, and keeps about 50 units on the lot in various configurations. The conference also saw Park Avenue Nissan of Brossard, Quebec win the Leading Battery Electric Vehicle Dealership Award, and Loch Lomond Mitsubishi of Saint John, New Brunswick receive the award for Electric Vehicle Dealership Inspiration. Ford, General Motors and Toyota have announced that they will shut down their Australian factories, leaving behind a lot of unused talent. Tesla recently held a "Recruiting Open House" in Melbourne for engineers to fill positions at its plant in Fremont, CA, where they will be paired with other Aussie engineers already on staff. Valeo recently showed an electric turbo it plans to supply to an unnamed automaker at a fuel economy showcase event at the EPA's National Vehicle Emissions and Fuel Lab. Electric turbochargers have the advantage of greatly reduced lag when compared to exhaust-driven turbos. They also work well when paired with cylinder deactivation, providing a much-needed boost when driving on a grade, which can help reduce the need for cylinders to reactivate. Independence from the exhaust system also makes it easier to package the turbocharger wherever there is room. Read more from Navigant Research. Impala SS vs. Marauder: Recalling Detroit’s muscle sedans
Thu, Apr 30 2020Impala SS vs. Marauder — it was comparo that only really happened in theory. ChevyÂ’s muscle sedan ran from 1994-96, while MercuryÂ’s answer arrived in 2003 and only lasted until 2004. TheyÂ’re linked inextricably, as there were few options for powerful American sedans during that milquetoast period for enthusiasts. The debate was reignited recently among Autoblog editors when a pristine 1996 Chevy Impala SS with just 2,173 miles on the odometer hit the market on Bring a Trailer. Most of the staff favored the Impala for its sinister looks and said that it lived up to its billing as a legit muscle car. Nearly two-thirds of you agree. We ran an unscientific Twitter poll that generated 851 votes, 63.9 percent of which backed the Impala. Muscle sedans, take your pick: — Greg Migliore (@GregMigliore) April 14, 2020 Then and now enthusiasts felt the Impala was a more complete execution with guts. The Marauder, despite coming along later, felt more hacked together, according to prevailing sentiments. Why? On purpose and on paper theyÂ’re similar. The ImpalaÂ’s 5.7-liter LT1 V8 making 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque was impressive for a two-ton sedan in the mid-Â’90s. The Marauder was actually more powerful — its 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 302 hp and 318 lb-ft. The ImpalaÂ’s engine was also used in the C4 Corvette. The MarauderÂ’s mill was shared with the Mustang Mach 1. You can see why they resonated so deeply with Boomers longing for a bygone era and also captured the attention of coming-of-age Gen Xers. Car and DriverÂ’s staff gave the Marauder a lukewarm review back in ‘03, citing its solid handling and features, yet knocking the sedan for being slow off the line. In a Hemmings article appropriately called “Autopsy” from 2004, the ImpalaÂ’s stronger low-end torque and smooth shifting transmission earned praise, separating it from the more sluggish Mercury. All of this was captured in the carsÂ’ acceleration times, highlighting metrically the differences in their character. The Impala hit 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds, while the Marauder was a half-second slower, according to C/D testing. Other sites have them closer together, which reinforces the premise it really was the little things that separated these muscle cars. Both made the most of their genetics, riding on ancient platforms (FordÂ’s Panther and General MotorsÂ’ B-body) that preceded these cars by decades. Both had iconic names.
