My ElCamino has many, many miles on it, and, over the years most all vital parts have either been replaced , repaired or rebuilt. Presently the only, MAJOR, problem with it is that it refuses to upshift into High gear. The basics are all in drivable , functioning condition. it has many small ailments as it has seen so many miles. I am the second owner of this vehicle. The first owner was a building contractor and used it in his business. The truck drives and handles VERY well , when the transmission allowed of course. The engine runs strong, but needs to be refreshed. The rear end has been replaced , and functions as desired. The steering feels very solid and smooth. The Body has some dents which have been worked on, and are presently primered as can be seen in the pictures. Not all gauges are working and the interior needs some TLC, however the dash and seats are  in pretty fair condition. The tires are in GREAT condition. It comes with it's 5 ORIGINAL and SOUGHT AFTER RALLY WHEELS, a spare bumper, and  spare side chrome trim pieces. If the transmission was still functioning properly, I would still be driving this Truck to work daily as I was prior to the transmission "giving me gas". I have a total of five automobiles and am looking at another one to purchase. I don't have the time or desire to restore this one which is what I usually do, and this ElCamino could be restored to a BEAUTY and even into a SHOW CAR. It IS a perfect candidate for a restoration. It would easily be driven onto a transportation Trailer or truck. I have it on Non -Op, so the buyer will be responsible for smogging and re-registering it. I will in NO WAY contribute to transporting it, that's up to the buyer. I offer NO WARRANTY on this vehicle. I will ONLY accept payment of a deposit of $500., through Paypal, IMEDIATELY, at the end of the sale., with the entire balance being paid IN CASH at the time truck is picked up. The vehicle MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL AND PICKED UP WITHIN 10 DAYS of the end of the sale, or the sale will be null and void and no part of the deposit will be refunded. All sales are final and and  AS IS. At pick up time, I will refund the deposit amount, through Paypal , if you are not satisfied that the truck is AS I've described. I have ALL POSITIVE FEEDBACKS on 303 transactions, so I can be trusted. I WILL NOT EVEN CONSIDER doing business with ANY BIDDERS/BUYERS outside of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, so please don't waste any of my time or yours. I have this vehicle advertised for sale locally , so I RESERVE the right to cancel this ad without notice.

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle

Sun, Aug 21 2022

The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1

Wed, Aug 20 2014

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party. Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads

Sun, May 31 2015

Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed.
