Up for sale today is a nice 1972 el camino. Car has the original 350 engine that runs great with 350 tranny. Engine runs great fires up right away.. A set of 4 brand new tires and matching black rally wheels. Paint has some small chips and sccratches from being driven. The bed is in good shape just some scrapes and scratches in the bed. This el camino has also been here in Southern california its entire life so undercarriage is clean. Car is an AC car and has a new AC compressor also, power brakes, power steering. All lights and guages work on the car. Also has power windows in the el camino.The interior is in great shape. Car is being sold As-Is with no warranty and is the buyers responsibilty to check car prior to bidding. Car is Located in Los Angeles and has a clean title in hand. I have sold a couple cars to overseas buyers and out of state buyers in the past and can offer to deliver the car to any of the shipping companys here in southern california or can give you the numbers to a few shipping companys ive used many times with no issues. Most of my cars end up selling before the auctions even end so i have the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally. Man spent $75 on a truck that lasted 38 years
Mon, Jan 5 2015Absurd as it is, some buyers today are worried about getting their car to last throughout the term of their seven-year car loan. Minnesota resident Bob Sportel has the opposite issue: his Chevrolet truck seemingly won't die. Sportel needed a cheap ride to get to work when he took a job at a farmer's co-op 38 years ago, so he bought a rusty 1957 Chevy pickup for $75 from a farmer; at the time, the 20-year-old truck was almost as old as Bob was. After nearly four decades of daily driving and an estimated 300,000 miles, Sportel is still driving the truck today. Bolts secure a fender, Bondo secures the lights, what looks like a whole roll of duct tape keeps him sitting on the bench seat instead of in it. For a 58-year-old pickup that's never seen a garage or a new coat of paint – but did get its oil changed four times a year – that's not bad; Sportel thinks his repair bill hasn't got above $1,000 for the entire time he's owned the truck. Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
