1970 Elcaminoss 350/4spd/12bolt/tiltwheel/bucket Seats/newpaint/newinterior/ac on 2040-cars
Penngrove, California, United States
Was going to build pro tour.Purchased and put in storage.I don't know anything about it,except for what you see and that it starts right up.It does not smoke.Brakes work good.Transmission shifts fine.Tires are new.Drives fine, but to me suspension seems a bit soft. It does not make any rattles, squeaks or problem noises.Had just been repainted,New vinyl top,new weather stripping and all trim has either been replaced or polished.Interior had just been redone[New headliner,Bucket Seats with headrests,Dash pad,Carpet,Door panels,Door sills,Probably was kit]Doors open and close smooth and crisp.Windows operate up and down smooth with new felt. All the glass is good. Am/Fm cassette.SS dash with 7000 rpm tach and gauges. I'm sure I missed somethings. This car looks good inside and out.The guy I got it from said he was making it to be his daily driver. To me it seems like he did things a little backwards as I would of restored everything mechanically first, but now that's all you have to do to make it into a cool ride.Just a suspension refresh would make it a great car. Reserve is low.I hate to let it go but I don't want it to sit forever.I'm pushing 60 and somebody else will get a lot more enjoyment out of it than my garage does. The only good thing for me is I get the garage space back! Sorry about the blurry interior pics but it is as clean inside as the door panel. Please asked all questions and I will do my best to answer.Vehicle is sold as is . Thank you and GOOD LUCK!

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years
Fri, Feb 21 2014Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up.
