Up for sale is a 1970 Chevy El Camino NON SS. 350ci engine runs great, has a new Edelbrock intake & carb. ( I have the original air cleaner ) Mallory distributor. Has P/S & PDB but no A/C. 700R4 Overdrive Transmission & a 10 bolt rearend. Has headers going into dual exhaust. Body is fairly straight with minor damage on the right & left fenders, also the only rust on the car is in the lower front fenders behind the wheels, the floorpans are solid. The door panels & dash are in really nice shape. The seat is not the original & needs to be redone along with the sun visors & headliner which has a few holes. Has 15X8 Rally wheels with good tires. The bed has been line x'd. The front end was just rebuilt also. Tags just expired in May. Car drives down the road nice with tight steering & brakes. Daily driver the way it is or throw a paint job on it & a little interior work & you'll have a nice weekend cruiser. If you have any questions send me an e-mail. 2016 Chevy Volt to make auto show debut this season
Wed, Jul 30 2014Ever since we saw that spy shots of the 2016 Chevy Volt, we've been hungering for more information on the next-gen version of GM's green halo car. It appears we might not have long to wait, at least for an official tease. An inside source that wishes to remain anonymous told AutoblogGreen that GM will make two announcements regarding the second-gen Volt at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI next week. The first, and most intriguing, is that that we will get our first glimpse of the new Volt at some point during the upcoming auto show season. That means either Los Angeles later this year or else Detroit, Chicago or New York in early 2015. The second bit of news is that GM will be moving production of the electric motors from Mexico to Michigan. Details and official confirmation are, of course, missing and Chevrolet declined comment to AutoblogGreen. We should know more next week.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally
Wed, Apr 22 2015Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:
