1968 396 Ss Chevy El Camino Project Or Parts on 2040-cars
Glasgow, Kentucky, United States
I am selling my fathers old 1968 396 SS el camino 4 speed in the floor with the 12 bolt posi rear end and with the rare rolling dash tach from the factory, all the chrome trim, emblems mirrors and lights are there, the drive shaft and a spare front and rear bumper are in the bed, this is the real deal, my father had it back in 79 and traded it to a gentlemen who pulled the motor and trans then parked it in a feild in a row of old cars, dad always talked about getting it back and when the gentlmen passed away last year i purchased it for him since i do restorations, in my dads age he has decided that he isnt upto the project and i simply do not have time with the other porjects in the shop at this time, it is a rough car but its not near to far gone to make a very beautiful and sought after muscle car out of again, i do have the clean kentucky title still in my fathers name for the car. the rally wheels and tire dont go with the car as they are off my vette, but i do have a set of wheels that will be on it when picked up, i can and will assist in loading if needed
AGAIN there is NO motor and NO trans in the car and the rallys DO NOT go with, aside from that it is complete |

Autoblog Podcast #327:
Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
