1965 El Camino, Hot Rod , Rat Rod, Gasser, Chevelle, Ss, Project, Chevy, on 2040-cars
Vallejo, California, United States
Hi this is a great running project. The El Camino has new KYB shocks, new brakes, new wheels cylinder, new master cylinder, new front brake hoses and new rear drums. The front drums were turned all those parts have less than 20 miles on them. The motor is an early 80's Chevy 350 that has been tuned up. But still has a sputter and a little diesling when you jump on it. If you drive it like a normal person not a lead foot it runs great. The transmission is a th-350 that shifts strong. The rear end is a ten bolt not sure of gear ratio but seems to be stock. The wheels are American mags the rears are 15x7 thurq thrust and the fronts are 15x6 American non turq thrust. The body has some dings and dents and rust. The right side rocker has a dent. But not bad. The floors will need to be replaced. And the electrical will need to be replaced to make every thing in good working order. The blinkers work the windshield wipers work brake lights work license plate light works. But the headlights don't work. I did get one high beam to come on. the dash light doesn't work. The mufflers are flow masters that are just screwed in place. I have been driving it around town like that for about two months. So the car will need to go to a muffler shop for proper install. The El Camino registration is up in August. I have the pinkslip in hand and in my name. Please ask questions before bidding if you're not sure of something. Buyer will be responsible for shipping. I will need a $500 non refundable deposit within three days of the end of auction. Thanks for looking and good luck.

The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else
Sat, 16 Feb 2013The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
