1959 El Camino This Is A Driver on 2040-cars

The EL Camino is a driver and not a show car. It looks good, runs good. no shakes,shimmy or wandering. I understand the engine and transmission is a 350/350 out of a 75 Camaro. It has bucket seats and floor shift. .Body has no dents and is very straight. It has some paint chips on the rear fins and a spot of rust and paint bubbles at the rear wheels.Holes have been drilled in the deck chrome at one time for a cover. The car has been sitting in Oregon for the past 8-10 years. I got the car on impulse and after starting to work on it I have decided to quit old cars. I did install a new battery new radiator,hoses and plug wires and had a new floor mat installed. Ever thing else is how I bought it, except for the hood which I sanded and primed because the clear coat was lifting. After sitting so long it has electrical issues. No tail lights no brake lights no wiper or dash lights.It does have head lights and turn signals. I have not tried to find the problem. The rear window has been siliconed so at one time it did leak and there is rust behind the drivers seat that needs to be repaired. It will also needs a brake booster as the paddle pushes hard but does have a full peddle and stopes straight. I've done my best to describe it, but as I said it does drive good. PS tires are 80% and comes with original fender shirts in good condition.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
