Here we have for your viewing pleasure a one of a kind radical kustom 59 el camino that I am listing for a friend of mine. Let me start by saying that if you are truly interested you should call GARY MEYERS. He's the builder and will be able to give you the most info about it. I'll give you a description of it from a fans perspective based on what I know from what I have learned from Gary. He started with the frame from a 69 chevelle wagon and then channeled the 59 elcamino down over it two inches which gave it a great stance and a comfortable ride. The whole car has been hand fabricated and not one panel was left untouched.. From the 2 and 3/4 inch chopped top with the dual frenched antennas on both sides to the pancaked hood and custom flip up side view mirror. Everywhere you look you will find subtle changes that made a dramatic change to the original body. Check out the custom fabbed headlight enclosures and custom fabbed taillight enclosures. Very COOL !!! Both the front and rear bumpers have been custom made from very thick plate and then chromed to be functional. Both the front and the rear of the car feature custom made roll pans that add to the clean flowing lines of the car. Look closer and you'll see the custom made bed enclosure that utilizes the roof skin from a van. Underneath that is the gas tank and ample storage for your luggage that you access from behind the custom seats. There's a lot to see on the outside so take your time and look at the pics closer. The more you look the more you'll see. The car has a great stance and an AWESOME PROFILE. Moving to the inside you will see that everything there is custom as well. The console is handformed steel that rolls around into seat enclosures. The console has a retractable cover and houses the shifter and other controls which leave the dash with a very clean and flowing look. You'll be riding in comfort thanks to the vintage heat and a/c unit that Gary installed. This is a driver and with that in mind Gary installed a 454 backed by a turbo 400 that moves the elcamino effortlessly down the road. It's rollin' on Diamondback whitewall radials and torque thrust wheels. everything is topped off with a custom R&M deep purple paint job with an awesome gold accent color. Keep in mind that this is a 12 year old build that has been driven. It's starting to show some wear and tear here and there but it is still so cool and looks so awesome that it was once again featured in a magazine. Because of the wear and tear Gary has priced this amazing one of a kind custom at a ridiculously low price so you'll be able to freshen it up or you could do what I would do and just drive it and enjoy all of the attention your gonna get.Well that about sums up about all I can tell you about it. Can you tell from my description that I love this car?? I know you will too so if your serious please hit up Gary for all the details. He can be reached at 316-570-8950. Buyer is responsible for setting up and paying for shipping but I will do what I can on my end to help you out. Payment to be made in the form of a wire transfer or cash in hand. I've been doin' business on ebay for 14 years so be sure and check our feedback to see what others are saying. It is always nice to know what kind of people you are dealing with.Payment due within 7 days of the close of the auction.Be sure and check out my other auctions for more COOL PROJECT CARS and PARTS and as always THANKS FOR LOOKING.UPDATE!!!!!! GM Design shows what could have been and what might be

Thu, May 27 2021

We periodically like to check in with GM Design's Instagram account to see what they're cooking up. Even better is when we catch a glimpse of an alternate history of what legendary designers from The General's past were thinking, though those ideas may not have made it into production. This week, for example, the account posted some illustrations from George Camp, whose career at GM spanned nearly four decades, from 1963 to 2001. One of the renderings is of what appears to be a 1971-72 Pontiac GTO Judge, but with two headlights instead of the production unit's quad beams. The rear departs from the canonical version most dramatically, with a massive integrated wing. Other bits that didn't make the production cut include large side vents, a gill-like side marker and rectangular intakes below the headlights that wouldn't be out of place on a modern design today. Amazingly, from what we can make out of the date, it appears that the drawing was done sometime in 1965, which makes it quite prescient.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by GM Design (@generalmotorsdesign) There's also a very aerodynamic interpretation of a Corvette ZR-1. To our eyes it splits the difference between the 1986 Corvette Indy concept and a fourth-generation F-body Pontiac Firebird, so perhaps parts of Camp's work on this sketch did make it into physical form. There's also a radical sports car concept from May 1970 that resembles the Mazda RX-500 concept from the same year, a Syd Mead-looking Cadillac coupe, and an Oldsmobile with a cool take on the company's trademark waterfall grille and elements of the Colonnade Cutlass at the rear. Other recent posts include a FJ Cruiser-like off-road EV, a sleek coupe with the Chevy corporate grille, and a rendering of a Silverado-esque pickup that looks far better than the current production version.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by GM Design (@generalmotorsdesign) It's pretty easy to lose hours in the account, but it's always fascinating to see GM's visions of what could have been and what might be. Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
