Listed for sale is an immaculately cared for 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LTZ. This car has been impeccably cared for and equally driven. It has been a "Sunny Day" car, but that doesn't go without saying it has been stuck in a Spring shower or two. However, the vehicle's exterior paint and vinyl have been professionally waxed and sealed. Ensuring an incredible shine from its stunning metallic paint. The jet black leather interior curves around its driver giving a very secure feeling along with its own sleek and sharp appearance.
Open the sunroof and let the beautiful smell and feel of fall into the interior. Or by a push of a button shut it along with your windows and enjoy a very quiet drive... Or perhaps rock out and earn some awkward smiles as you belt out to the music you're listening to. Then again, the professionally installed 30% tint will give you some extra privacy for those "in car studio" days! Either way, this car can offer up the freedom of feeling the wind against your face or the privacy of tastefully tinted windows. Either way, you are sure to enjoy.
The car is driven in a reserved fashion and has not been manhandled or throttled. The driver is not aggressive and would just as soon wait her turn than to wide-open-throttle the car. You can insure your vehicle has been as babied as humanly possible.
Spoiled by a garage when not in use and treated to a professional detail every five months. In fact, the car will be winterized within the next month. The current wax will be stripped, the paint will be corrected (if deemed necessary), a fresh coat of wax will be applied, polish is to follow, and a sealant on top of that to insure the protection will last. The product the detailer uses is destined to last for months! Just watch in amusement as the water tries to cling to the paint, but bolts off like the car has its own force-field... Well, it sort of does with the wax! The rims will also be waxed and sealed. Although this vehicle has been rarely driven in rain, and NEVER in snow, it still helps to be prepared for the day her daily driver gives up or she just gets caught in a rain shower.
On top of meticulously cared for paint....You will not find one dent or scratch on this car. The driver makes strides to park away from other motorists when she drives and is very self conscious about making sure her purse or zippers don't drag across the paint.
You won't find a better example of a fully loaded 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LTZ. Boasting original 8,3xx miles (X's stand for subject to change as it is still being driven now and again) the car doesn't look a day over 2,000 miles.
The rear shot of the vehicle was prior to the window tint.
On Oct-11-13 at 17:57:08 PDT, seller added the following information:The vehicle is a NON-SMOKERS vehicle.

2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.
Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1
Wed, Aug 20 2014Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party.
