This is a great small to medium sized car that is in excellent condition.   It's owned by the original owner who is selling it  only because an all wheel drive car is required in her present location.

The Cruze Ecos get better mileage per gallon than the other Cruze models.  This car averages 35-38 miles per gallon on the highway, runs quietly, handles great, and is fun to drive.  Most of the miles are highway miles accumulated in Wyoming's wide open spaces.   It is very clean, smoke free, and has been primarily a one person vehicle.  There haven't been pets or children or even much food in the car.  It hasn't been involved in any accidents or incidents of any type.

The trunk is amazingly large, and in addition to this great space, the back seats fold down flat for extra long items.   There are 12 airbags in the vehicle, some in back; stability control and traction control systems, antilock brakes, visors with vanity mirrors, floor mats, 8 way seat adjustments, power windows, Sirius capability, 6 speakers for the audio system, and there's a driver information center that provides vehicle information, warnings, and other messages to the driver.

Everything works.  The tires  have less than 10,000 miles of wear.  All service records are available.   The vehicle scores higher than average for both global warming score, and smog score.   For govenrnent safety ratings it scores all 5 stars for both  passenger and driver in frontal impacts and 5 stars for both front and back seat passengers in  side impacts.

There is a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty coverage on the power train, whichever comes first.  There is a 6 year or 100,000 mile warranty on rust through coverage, whichever comes first.

This car has several optional features including the  "connectivity plus cruise package"  that includes: cruise control, USB audio interface, bluetooth for phone,  leather wrapped steering wheel, leather trimmed shift lever, and steering wheel controls;  6 speed automatic transmission;  a compact spare that replaces the standard tire sealer and inflator kit; and special crystal red metallic tint coat paint.

The standard new vehicle purchase price would have been $18,425.  The options listed above raised the total vehicle price to $21,050.
Two Chevrolet dealers say this car  is still easily worth $16,000.

Questions are welcomed and more photographs are available upon request.  Pick up by buyer is preferred, but seller may negotiate delivery, if necessary.

Even if GM does close all 5 of those plants, it'll still have too many

Wed, Nov 28 2018

DETROIT — General Motors' monumental announcement on Monday that it will close three car assembly plants and two powertrain plants in North America and slash its workforce will only partially close the gap between capacity and demand for the automaker's sedans, according to a Reuters analysis of industry production and capacity data. Sales of traditional passenger cars in North America have been declining for the past six years and are still withering. After GM ends production next year at factories in Michigan, Ohio and Ontario, it will still have four U.S. passenger-car plants — all operating at less than 50 percent of rated capacity, according to figures supplied by LMC Automotive. In comparison, Detroit-based rivals Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will have one car plant each in North America after 2019. The Detroit Three are facing rapidly dwindling demand for traditional passenger cars from U.S. consumers, many of whom have shifted to crossovers and trucks. Passenger cars accounted for 48 percent of retail light-vehicle sales in the United States in 2014, according to market researchers at J.D. Power and Associates. This year, sedans will account for less than a third of light vehicle sales. That shift in turn has left most North American car plants operating far below their rated capacities, while many SUV and truck plants are running on overtime. The collapse in passenger-car demand is a challenge for nearly all automakers in the United States, including Japan's Toyota and Honda, which have the top-selling models in the compact and midsize car segments. Toyota executives said last month they are evaluating the company's U.S. model lineup. But Toyota also plans to build compact Corolla sedans at a new $1.6 billion factory it is building in Alabama with partner Mazda. The obstacles facing GM in its plans to close more auto factories became apparent on Tuesday as U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to block payment of government electric vehicle subsidies to GM. While it is not certain that Trump unilaterally has the power to do that, he made it clear he intends to use his office to pressure the company to keep open a small car plant in Ohio that GM says will stop building vehicles in March.

Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy Volt class action suit proposed, Tesla stock could outperform in 2015

Sat, Dec 27 2014

A class action suit has been proposed against General Motors for a steering problem in the Chevrolet Volt. The plaintiffs claim that a defect can cause the steering to freeze intermittently, and that General Motors either knows or should have known about the problem. The case, filed in New Jersey, also claims that defective parts are replaced with the same or similar parts, which are also defective. The plaintiffs say that claims for the 100-plus-member class exceed $5 million. Read more at Law360 or at BigClassAction. Tesla Motors stock (TSLA) has risen after weeks of losses. It gained 5.4 percent during the week ending December 19, when it closed at $219.29 per share. Since then, it rose slightly more, closing at $222.26 on December 24. Morgan Stanley lowered its target price on Tesla stock from $320 to $290, predicting lower sales on the upcoming Model III than expected before, but still called Tesla a good long-term investment. Analysts at CNBC predicted Tesla to be the best performing stock of 2015. Read more at ETF Daily News. Oslo- and New York-based architecture firm Snohetta has designed a zero-emissions house that also charges an electric car. The ZEB Pilot House, built in Larvik, Norway, uses a solar panel on the roof to power the house, which also provides enough excess energy to charge an EV. To make the most of energy most efficiently, the house uses smart technology to use as much energy as it can once it's harvested. This means one can turn on appliances like the washing machine remotely while the sun is at the optimum angle in the sky - perhaps during mid-day when the residents are at work. The house also uses organic materials and is designed to save as much energy as possible. Read more at Wired.

GM to restore legendary Corvette damaged in sinkhole accident

Fri, Dec 5 2014

Car lover's hearts' sank when they saw images of bent and destroyed classic Corvettes at the bottom of a sinkhole last February after the floor of the National Corvette Museum gave way. General Motors announced Wednesday it would restore the one millionth Corvette ever produced to its former glory. The 1992 convertible was heavily damaged when a 40-foot deep sinkhole opened beneath a bevy of rare cars at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Since then, GM has been slowly restoring the classic cars, though five of the eight that caught in the sinkhole were determined to be too damaged to repair. This November, the 2009 Corvette ZR1 Blue Devil was the first car to be returned in mint condition to the Museum, according to Autoblog. It suffered significant damage but was still drivable after being pulled out of the debris. The one millionth Corvette is still in bad shape. The automaker is estimating six months worth of work to restore the car, which sustained paint scratches, rear-suspension damage and a mangled front fender.
