The fastest AND best handling Corvette money could buy from General Motors in 1996. I can only assume money was no issue when this car was ordered. This Corvette has the best of both worlds. Making it very versatile, more so than I thought when I purchased it some time back. The car has been out of the elements for the majority of its life. It has been adult driven, no cut wires from aftermarket stereos or hidden damage from excessively large wheels. The car does have 129,xxx miles on it, but do not let that scare you. It isn't an abused Corvette on its last leg. I have seen many Corvettes with less than 80,000 miles on them that would not compare to this car. What I was explaining about the way the car was factory ordered was that it has all of the high performance options including: the LT4 (with higher horse power than even the LS1), heavy duty 6 speed, heavier duty differential, adjustable ride control, and heavy duty cooling. But on the flip side the car was also ordered with every creature comfort including: power windows, power locks, dual power seats (many corvettes are ordered with just a power driver seat), digital air conditioning display, Bose Gold stereo with cassette and CD, Factory UV resistant glass which is very rare and greatly helps preserve the interior. This car gives you the best of both worlds in another way as well, while it is a high performance vehicle no doubt, it averages 27mpg on the interstate. I know some people say that and mean if you do 60mph with the windows up and air conditioning off, but this car actually gets 27mpg at interstate speeds with the air conditioning blowing ice cold and radio playing away. I hope the next owner enjoys this car as much as I have, if you have any questions please ask. Thank you for your time,
I will add more pictures soon, if there is anything specific you would like photos of please let me know.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each.
