Junction City, Kentucky, United States
2007 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible3lt with navigation & heads up displayLS2 V8 with Corsa Exhaust6 speed manual CONDITION, is a well cared for and pampered 2007 Corvette convertible. This is NOT your base model 50 thousand dollar vette. This car is fully equipped with the 3lt package, Monterey Red Metallic tintcoat paint, chrome aluminum wheels, built in navigation and heads up display. The original sticker on this car was $63,305.00 before taxes, making for a total cost new of over $67,000.00!!! With ten thousand dollars in options, this car has all the goodies you want. As previously mentioned, the car is Monterey red with cashmere leather interior and a beige top. The paint is absolutely beautiful in the sun when the metallic can sparkle. This car has just under 73k miles, but I promise you would think it has under 30k miles by looking at it. The paint is in great condition with only a few very very tiny stone chips in the front (like pretty much all vettes due to the shape of the nose) no scratches, dings, or any other defects in paint. The wheels shine like brand new and have absolutely zero rash or rubbing marks on them. The interior is exceptionally clean with no stains, rips, or discoloration on any surface including carpet and arm rests. The convertible top is in good shape, no rips, stretch marks, or leak issues. It is a fully power top and operates exactly as it should. This car has had new brake pads recently installed and the rotors were resurfaced. She drives nice and straight with no rattles, suspension noise, or anything else. The only modification to the car was professional installation of corsa exhaust system. 100% clean carfax, no wreck history, no flood history, never any damage reported, and never any title or odometer issues. This is a 3 owner car, 2 of which were adult women and the third an adult man. Its clear to see that the car has always been well taken care of and never abused. All lights and heads up display function perfectly, no idiot lights illuminated, never seen winter or salt. Premium Bose audio system, steering wheel audio controls, 3.42 rear end gear...I could go on and on, but you should really come see the car in person and see for yourself the outstanding condition it is in. I will post roughly 100 recent and unedited photos. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY. Please, if you do not have funds available and permission slips from whomever you may need them from do not bid. I require all bidders with under 10 feedback to contact me via email or telephone prior to bidding. Failure to do so will result in your bids being cancelled and disbarment from the auction. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. If you would like to see the car do not hesitate to contact me, I would be more than happy to show it and take you for a ride. No tire kickers please. This is a no reserve auction and the car will sell to the highest bidder at auction close unless it sells privately before then. SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS. There is no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for any shipping costs as well as any taxes in their state. I am not a dealer, I will not collect taxes or issue temporary plates. Your more than welcome to fly in and drive the car home should you live out of state. There are no known mechanical or electrical issues.

Why the Corvette's Performance Data Recorder can be illegal in some states
Fri, 26 Sep 2014The Performance Data Recorder with Valet Mode available on the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray seems like a fantastic tool for many owners. Whether they are taking 720p video while lapping the track in their new 'Vette, or just want to protect their purchase from inconsiderate joyriders, the system offers a lot of functionality in one package. However, one of the PDR's features might get buyers in trouble with the law, and it has nothing to do with recording some illicit high-speed driving on a favorite back road. The problem hinges on the various state laws concerning a person's right to privacy.
According to a letter posted by Jalopnik, Chevy dealers are asking 2015 Corvette owners not to use the Valet Mode portion of the PDR because it records audio in the cabin, in addition to performance specs. That's a problem because privacy laws vary from state to state with some requiring just one side's consent to tape sound and others requiring all parties to agree. According Jalopnik, 15 states mandate everyone's permission beforehand, but it's not clear whether these numbers are up to date. (Actually, the report varies, saying 13 states in some places and 15 in a list.)
According to the letter, Chevy is already working on a software update for the near future to rectify the issue. It's possible that simply adding a warning to drivers and the ability to turn off the audio recording function in Valet Mode might solve the problem. Obviously, this doesn't preclude Corvette drivers from using the performance aspect of the PDR, and owners are free tape lap after lap at the track.
GM plans to restart production in Mexico on May 20
Mon, May 18 2020MEXICO CITY — General Motors is tentatively planning to restart operations at its auto assembly plant in the Mexican city of Silao on May 20, according to a message to workers seen by Reuters on Sunday, as the car industry prepares to exit the coronavirus lockdown. Separately, the president of GM's Mexican unit advised suppliers to prepare to resume operations. “We are now beginning a new phase given the Mexican governmentÂ’s official announcement earlier this week to consider the transportation manufacturing industry as essential for the countryÂ’s economy,” Francisco Garza, president ofGeneral Motors de Mexico, wrote in an email to suppliers dated on Friday that was viewed by Reuters. The reopening of the plant in Silao would be a positive signal for the auto sector in North America, whose supply lines are highly interconnected between the United States, Mexico and Canada. The plant in the central state of Guanajuato has been idled for weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak. Workers had previously been told to plan to return to their jobs on May 18. A GM spokeswoman said the company could not confirm when it would restart operations at any of its facilities in Mexico because it is awaiting more guidance from the government. The message to the plant's workers came after the government on Friday clarified when the industry could begin easing restrictions imposed because of the health emergency. On Wednesday, the government said automakers could start going back into production from May 18. It then withdrew that advice and suggested the new start date would be June 1. Finally it indicated the sector, which forms the backbone of Mexican manufacturing, could begin operating as soon as next week if companies had the required safety measures in place. U.S. officials and its auto industry have pressed Mexico's government to get its factories open again because American operations depend heavily on parts from south of the border. However, some politicians are wary of opening too fast. Mexico registered its first case of coronavirus weeks after the United States and Canada and the toll of daily infections and deaths in the country reached new peaks over the past few days. The Silao production facility, which makes highly profitable pickup trucks for GM, is one of the biggest automotive plants in Guanajuato, a major Mexican carmaking state. Related Video:
24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two
Sun, Jun 19 2016We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.
