Up for sale is my 2008 Corvette Z06,505 HP 427 , 6speed transmission,With Nitrous Oxide.Sleek looking one of a kind Guy's!!Vehicle is in great condition.Has had a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber door contact's and Carbon Fiber spoiler added as well as blacking out all the side marker and brake lights.Has Grand Sport wheels . Factory DVD, Navigation,& On star.Vehicle has head's up display.Has clear bra on nose or front bumper and all along bottom of vehicle.Protect's from getting rock chip's in paint.Almost invisible.AC is ice cold. Heat blow's hot as it should.Window's and door lock's work as they should.Has every button and or power option available.Everything work's as it should with this vehicle.Vehicle does show one accident on it's vehicle report.I was told it was a cosmetic issue done to right rear in Colorado at a car show.Car got scratch in rear,I took the vehicle to a body shop and had a inspection before purchasing and was assured there was ZERO damage anywhere and the technician could not locate any structural repaired area.No mechanical or cosmetic problem's. NONE!!The vehicle has NOS although I have never used it I have powered it up and used the automatic bottle opener just to make sure everything was working.NOS is full throttle activated. The car is very, very fast. That's why I have never used the Nitrous Before.I purchased the vehicle several months back, maybe even closer to a year now from the third owner.Although the title has been registered to 3 prior owners than myself. He explained to me the original owner of the car a man in Colorado that was the president of the corvette club there passed away and his children had to tiltle the vehicle in order to sell it.At any rate the car is in great shape.I drive it some but just do not have the time to get her out as much as I would like to.I own a small auto repair shop and have never gotten into the vehicle after working.Driven out to dinner and movies etc. mostly.I have alway's treated her as my baby.I even have one of my employee's clean the underside of the vehicle every month or so.Just to wipe it down and keep the dust off of her,I use mobile 1 full synethetic engine oil and it has been changed every three thousand mile's even though it's suggested go five thousand .The window's are tinted, the tires are in great shape. The vehicle also has a mild to wild exhaust set up.Which is pretty dang neat if you ask me.Can ride around in stealth mode quietly or open up the wild side by the push of a button on the gearshift handle and hear the engine roar.I love the car.The comfort and ride is wonderful.I have never been one to grunt and growl in or around town but I do like to get out on the hi-way and open her up from time to time and like I said earlier, She will go way faster than I want to go.I have a Highway patrol friend that has explained to me how easy it is to see the bright Red, Black, and Yellow corvettes, camaro's,mustang's flying down the hiway but as he stated to me the silver vehicles sort of blend in or less likely to be noticed. The vehicle is being sold as is where is in great or excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition!! The vehicle will come with a clean Mississippi title which I have on hand, two remote fob's, vehicle has push start button though, two key's, and the owner's manual the vehicle came with in the glove box.I also have some other paperwork that came with the car that you will get as well just cannot remember exactly what it is.This is not your plain Jane regular 08 Corvette Z06 Guy's.Not a cookie cutter car.Very stealthy ,sleek look!! Very fast!!My reserve price is very, very low Guy's!!!Well below NADA or KBB with all the features.Don't miss this deal.If you have been wanting one of these dream car's like I did here's your car.At a bargain!!!Low reserve!! The main reason for my selling is I need to purchase another rollback wrecker for my business.I may consider taking a 2004 or newer International rollback as partial trade.Serious buyer's can call my Business at 662-324-1600 and ask for Clarke.Feel free to come inspect vehicle.Nothing to hide here.Great car!! Thank's for looking. And this is one of the great ones here guy's!!! Car has been very well maintained!!! Can drive anywhere!! Would not worry about driving home or anywhere. Will pick you up from nearest airport (Golden Triangle Regional Airport) or (GTR) and or help with shipping after getting payment.Thank's for looking!!!!

Junkyard Gem: 1986 Chevrolet Sprint Plus
Fri, Jun 16 2023General Motors sold second- and third-generation Suzuki Cultuses with Geo or Chevrolet Metro badging in the United States from 1989 through 2001 model years, and we've all seen plenty of those cars on the street over the years. The first-generation Cultus was sold here as well, with Chevrolet Sprint badges, and I've found a rare example of the Sprint five-door hatchback in a Northern California car graveyard. The Chevy Sprint first appeared on the West Coast as a 1985 model, then became available everywhere in the United States for the 1986 through 1988 model years (in Canada, it was sold as the Pontiac Firefly). It was available here as a hatchback with three or five doors; for 1986 only, the five-door was badged as the Sprint Plus. Soon enough, The General would be selling many more Asian-built cars with Detroit badges here. Isuzu I-Marks were sold as Chevrolet/Geo Spectrums starting in the 1986 model year, while Daewoo provided the Pontiac LeMans two years later. Under the hood, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder rated at 48 horsepower. The five-door Sprint cost $5,580 in 1986, which was $200 more than the three-door (those prices would be $15,445 and $14,891 in 2023 dollars). I've documented seven discarded Sprints prior to this one (including an extremely rare Turbo Sprint), and all of them were three-doors; we can assume that price was the most important factor for Sprint buyers. Gasoline prices were crashing hard during the middle 1980s, but memories of gas lines and odd-even-day fuel rationing from 1979 remained strong. What cars competed with the '86 Sprint on sticker price? Well, there was no way to undercut the hilariously affordable (and terrible) Yugo GV, which cost $3,990. The much bigger (but still pretty bad) Hyundai Excel listed at $4,995, while Toyota would sell you a sturdy (but zero-fun) Tercel starting at $5,448. Even the wretched Chevy Chevette — yes, it was still available in 1986 — cost $5,645. The original buyer of this car was willing to shell out an extra $395 to get an automatic instead of the base five-speed manual. That's about $1,093 in today's money. This car must have been slow. By the end, the doors were held shut with duct tape, but it still stayed alive until age 37. 53 miles per gallon on the highway! It does everything. The camels of the highway.
Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017
Tue, Feb 17 2015Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
