2004 Chevrolet Corvette Base Coupe 5.7l In Excellent Condition Inside & Out on 2040-cars
Amarillo, Texas, United States
This 2004 Corvette Coupe is in excellent condition inside and out! This corvette has never been smoked in and there are no defects inside or out! I am the second owner of this car and bought it in March, 2012 and had it shipped from Burbank, Illinois to my home address in Texas. The car has always been kept in the garage with a fitted cover on it which I paid over $200 that also comes with the car. The ONLY reason I am selling it is because the new stingrays that have come out this year have caught my eye and I need to make room for one in my garage so sad to say this corvette has to go. I have never had any problems with this car since I bought it and put a new $225 battery on it last year. The tires are in excellent condition with lots of tread left on them. This car has always got lots of attention when I get it out and turns heads. The car is artic white in color and has gray interior. This corvette has the Preferred Equipment Group package, memory package, high polished aluminum wheels and a transparent removable roof panel. If you ever wanted a C5 corvette of the last year they were produced then you will find none nicer with low miles. Feel free to ask any questions and I will reply. A $500 deposit will be required within 24 hours of auction close through PayPal and full payment will be due within 7 days of auction close by either cash in person or cashier's check. Once the cashiers check has cleared my bank then shipping arrangements can proceed. Shipping arrangements and shipping costs are solely the responsibility of the buyer. You must have at least 5 positive feedbacks or don't bother bidding because your bid will be rejected! Happy Bidding!!! |

Some 2012-13 Chevy Volts may not have enough battery coolant
Mon, Jun 23 2014The 2012 and 2013 model year Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in vehicle may have a battery glitch caused by low coolant levels. No recall has been issued and General Motors is taking care of the issue at no cost to drivers. Some of the affected Volts may have lower-than-advisable coolant levels because of some pesky air pockets in the car's cooling circuit. When the coolant levels get too low, the charging system for the battery powering the car's onboard generator (i.e. the Rechargeable Energy Storage System, or the RESS) may be shut down, turning one's Volt into a run-of-the-mill gas-powered car, and a pricey one at that. The Car Connection says GM is advising owners of the '12 and '13 Volts to contact their local Chevy dealer for a free fix. GM representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from AutoblogGreen for more details. We believe this is a separate issue than the one that brought 8,000 Volts back to the dealers for a battery coolant fix, what GM called a "voluntary customer satisfaction effort," a few years ago. General Motors sold 23,094 Chevy Volts last year after selling 23,461 Volts in 2012, so that fix-it list may get fairly lengthy. Check out a GM-Volt.com user thread related to this issue here. *UPDATE: Chevrolet spokesman Randy Fox confirmed in an e-mail to AutoblogGreen that the company issued a service bulletin to dealers that they may need to top off coolant levels on certain Volts because of the issue, and that the vehicle will "return to normal charging operation" once that's done.
Chevy Volt gets customer satisfaction 'recall' for rear hatch issue *UPDATE*
Mon, Jan 26 2015Last week, General Motors has issued a "Customer Satisfaction program" for some 2011-2015 model year Chevrolet Volts to fix the manual rear lift gate not working as appropriate. According to Volt owner posts on Facebook, the problem manifests itself by the hatch not opening up all the way (sometimes worse in the cold) with some people bumping their heads. Dealers will replace the lift gate struts as part of the program. Some drivers were notified through the vehicle's OnStar system that there is a problem. GM has not yet said how many Volts are affected. *UPDATE* This program is for all 2011-2015 model year Volts. Chevrolet spokesperson Michelle Malcho told AutoblogGreen that, "This is not a recall, so there won't be any formal information posted on the GM website." The fixes will be free to affected Volt owners. Some 2010-2015 Cadillac SRX vehicles are also affected by the same problem and will also be fixed. Corvette Stolen In Detroit Returned To Owner After 33 Years
Wed, Jun 25 2014A Detroit man had his stolen Corvette returned 33 years after it disappeared while parked on one of Detroit's main drags, according to ABC 7. The last time George Talley saw his 1979 Corvette was on a July day in 1981, when it disappeared from its parking spot on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. He had given up hope of ever seeing his car again, until a phone call from AAA brought his sporty ride home. Authorities had come across a Corvette with a questionable VIN in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When they ran the number Talley's stolen car report came up. The car is still in pretty good shape and only has 47,000 miles on the odometer. Talley wasn't sure how he could get the car back home, but General Motors stepped in and agreed to cover the cost of bringing the 'Vette home. Talley has always had a passion for Detroit-made muscle cars. "I've always liked Corvettes. It was attractive. The ladies like 'em," Talley told ABC 7.
