Up for sale is my 2001 Corvette Z06. The motor had been freshly rebuilt before my purchase with performance part's,new CBM aluminum cylinder heads,New cam, thottle body, new injectors, ring's and bearing's, new long tube exhaust headers and other new performance upgrades.I  had  the transmission rebuilt with titanium parts, new performance clutch. and installed a brand new factory GM high performance 342 gear ratio rear differential.Same as original but built stronger.I purchased the rear differential from Corvette Garage. Now the complete drivetrain is and has been all built up to handle the unbelievable performance and raw power of the car.The vehicle has Borla exhaust as well. Also comes with the stock or factory Corvette wheels and tires that are black 17 and 18s,see pics, as well as GM chrome corvette 18 and 19 wheels with michelin run flats that are brand new and on the vehicle now.The car is very clean inside and out.I know you hear this a lot in add's on ebay and elsewhere but in my opinion this is a beast and a true treasure!!The picture's do not do my baby justice. This car looks great in person. No faded panel's or worn out leather here. This vehicle has always been garage kept. If you love american muscle and love the corvette this is your car.I just had the vehicle ran through the local dealership for inspection as well as a complete tune up.New plug's,fuel filter, etc. The new owner of this vehicle should not have to do anything but put gas in her and drive!!!!You can contact me at my shop 662-324-1600.I own a small auto repair and towing service'This is a great vehicle. Can drive anywhere. The reason for my selling the vehicle is an attempt to obtain as much capital as possible to purchase property to relocate my business.I know I will miss this vehicle very badly.Love the car!! Just need the cash!! I just hope whoever buy's this beauty & Beast will appreciate her and enjoy her as much as I. I will not sell this vehicle to a child ,teenager , or novice driver!! The car is very quick.Launches great!!Drivetrain is solid and built to stay together under high rpms and loads of torque. The interior and exterior of the vehicle are in great shape as well. The sound is unbelievable.I am planning on putting a video link of the vehicle on here in the next few day's.Just have not had time to do so.The vehicle comes with a Clean Mississippi title ,two (2) set's of key's and two (2) remotes to the car. Again It also comes with two set's of wheel's and tires. Black 17 & 18s  with 50 to 75 percent tread on tires and chrome 18 & 19s with brand new michelin run flat tires. This car is a beauty and a beast!!!!!Driven daily so miles may increase.Vehicle is for sale locally so I may remove item if it sales. Happy bidding!!! Good Luck!!! I am reducing the buy it now price as well as the reserve 04/10/2013 GREAT CAR !!!!

This map reveals the cleanest vehicles based on location

Thu, Apr 28 2016

Naysayers love to point out how dirty the electricity grid mix is when it comes to charging electric vehicles. Curmudgeons are eager to jump into any conversation about EVs to enlighten the lucky listeners about how plug-in cars contribute to pollution, sometimes even throwing in a dash of climate-change denial for good measure. (Thanks, buddy. Pray, tell me more about the plight of oppressed SUV owners.) Unless someone buys an EV just because they think they're cool (which, yeah, they often are), they probably have at least a passable understanding of their environmental pros and cons. As many EV owners are already aware, location has a lot to do with any particular plug-in car's carbon footprint. Still, there's always more to know, and knowledge is not a bad thing, especially if one uses it to do the right thing. That's why this handy-dandy map from Carnegie Mellon University is so interesting. CMU researchers have compiled information about the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions of various EVs based on where they're charged, as compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. The researchers looked at the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt, and Prius Plug-In Hybrid versus the gasoline-dependent Toyota Prius hybrid and the stop-start-equipped Mazda3 with i-ELOOP and compared grams of CO2 emitted per mile. CMU takes into account the grid mix, ambient temperature, and driving patterns. CMU takes into account the grid mix based on county, as well as ambient temperature and driving patterns in terms of miles traveled on the highway or in the city. For instance, if you drive a Nissan Leaf in urban areas of California, Texas, or Florida, your carbon footprint is lower than it would be if you were driving a standard Toyota Prius. However, if you charge your Leaf in the Midwest or the South, for the most part, you've got a larger carbon footprint than the Prius. If you live in the rural Midwest, you'd probably even be better off driving a Mazda3. Throughout the country, the Chevrolet Volt has a larger carbon footprint than the Toyota Prius, but a smaller one than the Mazda3 in a lot of urban counties in the US. The Prius and Prius Plug-In are relatively equal across the US. Having trouble keeping it straight? That's not surprising. The comparisons between plug-in and gasoline vehicles are much more nuanced than the loudest voices usually let on.

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Tue, Feb 11 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
