2000 Corvette Convertible on 2040-cars
Bellmore, New York, United States
NO KIDDING. I DO NOT WANT TO SELL MY CARS. BUT I HAD AN INSURANCE LAPS ON MY COLLECTOR CARS.... STUPID ME..AND NOW THEY HAVE AN ISSUE. SO I HAVE TO SELL.. OR PUT THEM AWAY. CORVETTE IS AN EASY 20k CAR. FIRST OFFER OVER $17,500 TAKES IT NOTHING LESS.. DONT WASTE MY TIME.. ITS A BEUTIFUL CAR RUNS GREAT ALL DAY I have my beautiful 2000 convertible with a great color combination. Has lots of extras and those extras include all the receipts. Besides all the standard stuff you already know about it has hud and power sport seats. In my corvette folder has all the goodies.. original window sticker and extra keys, receipt for purchases from mid America that include shift knob, front black out kit, acrylic rear letters, cold air induction screens, tri flo sport exhaust ($1130.00), x pipe by bassini, carbo fiber power duct, gmp skit shift plug kit (so you don't have to shift 1 to 4) , kirban kwik 6 shift kit), painted engine cover. Oh, receipt fro callic auto sound for $1247.75 stereo. which is awsum. Anything to make this close to a show car.. but to drive every day. Its not loud.. its smooooth. ok, now for the less then perfect. So many cars say no accidents.. but you never really know if they were and not reported..Well. this car was in a minor accident. how do I know.. well the pictures and the receipt for the paint. The receipt in the folder has everything done. No frame damage, nothing major $4000 in repairs paint and parts. It was the front bumper and fender. Which you would NEVER EVER tell by looking at it. No suspension work or frame work done at all.. again with proof. The interior is close to perfect, the convertible goes up and down as it should chrome wheels show no road rash. could use rear tires, which I am taking $1000 off the reserve price to reflect that. It also has a scuff behind the rear door, which I should probably try to compound.. RUNS - DRIVES - SOUNDS EXCELLENT. Clear titel everything goes with the car. I do keep in in the garage. I have a cover that can go with the car.. but if you don't need it, I am using it for my supra. the only reason to sell this car is ... well it is one that can be used every day.. I want an older classic. Really I do. I am 50...not 20 and I think after having a 76, 93 red convert, 96 lt4, and two 00 c5 corvettes. I am ready to go backwards.. From experience.. the c5 is the most comfortable of any I have driven.. Unlike my older ones, you can get in and drive all day. I love the older ones, but anything more than a short trip... and it is not comfortable. Ok good luck..the price is extremely fair.. not taking into account the $3,000 of extras that go with the car.. again including the receipt, instructions and warrenties. |

GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. Junkyard Gem: 1980 Chevrolet LUV Mikado
Sat, Oct 9 2021During the 1970s and into the 1980s, each member of the Detroit Big Three imported Japanese small pickups and sold them with Ford (Mazda Proceed), Dodge/Plymouth (Mitsubishi Forte), or Chevrolet (Isuzu Faster) badges here. Ford developed the Ranger and killed the Courier for 1983 (though Americans could still buy the Mazda-badged version all the way through 1993), while The General axed the LUV after the S-10 debuted in the 1982 model year. Isuzu sold the same truck as the P'up through 1987, though, and we might as well follow up our recent P'up Junkyard Gem with its LUV predecessor. LUV stood for Light Utility Vehicle, and I've managed to spot a handful in the boneyards over the years. This one now resides in a yard in northeastern Colorado. The Mikado trim package included striped seat upholstery and a sporty steering wheel, plus these cool dash badges. As far as I can tell, no LUV Mikado advertising featured any Gilbert and Sullivan tunes. This one is fairly rusty for Front Range Colorado, and it has endured a bed swap from some other small truck. The engine is the 75-horse Isuzu 1.8-liter. Members of this engine family went into everything from Chevy Chevettes to Isuzu Troopers in the United States. Very unusually for a small pickup during the Malaise Era, this one has a luxurious automatic transmission. Acceleration must have been a leisurely affair in this truck. Air conditioning? Unheard of! Someone stuck every one of their lunchtime apple stickers on the driver's door. After 41 years of work, this truck is done. Come on strong in a LUV of your own!
Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox
Mon, Jan 9 2017Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:
