This is a nice 2000 Corvette regular coupe with removable glass top. Automatic. It's black with black leather interior. The body has 124k miles, but all of the motor work and other miscellaneous parts were installed at 117k miles. All work was professionally done by Gwatney Chevrolet in Jacksonville. It was professionally dyno tuned by Gwatney as well. I have all of the paperwork and receipts. I have most all of the paperwork and receipts from where I purchased the parts as well. I have installed an Alpine CD player and replaced all of the speakers with Infinity speakers powered by a Pioneer 300w amp. HID 8000k low beam headlights. Blacked out tail lights with flush mount kit installed. CD player bezel and waterfall emblem have custom airbrushed graphics.
This is everything I had installed at Gwatney:
Vararam Cold Air intake
90mm fast intake
90mm throttle body
Ported heads -- all work done by Elliott's Port Works in Red Oak, Texas.
The LS1 LE2 heads consist of:
Patriot Gold Dbl springs, Ti retainers, locks and locators
custom valve job
mill, cleaning and assembly
flow about 305/220
Lunati Camshaft - 231/235 .617/.621 112 LSA
SLP Performance Ported Oil Pump
SLP Performance Timing Chain
Headers -- unsure of the brand. Installed when I bought the car.
3.90 gears
Vigilante 3200 stall
Borla 2 tip exhaust -- Chrome polished
Custom black with polished lip Corvette wheels. 17x9.5 in the front on 245/45/17 Nitto NT555 tires and 18x10.5 on 305/35/18 Nitto 555r drag radials.
Video of the car running:
http://youtu.be/8HBUHwGIL2E
The bad things -- Would need a small amount of paint work. The front bumper is peeling in spots by the air dams and the drivers side front fender is not the same color black as the rest of the car. I had planned on wrapping the car in Matte white. I have an entire roll of Matte white, enough to wrap the entire car and have extra left over, if you are interested in that as well.
The headlight motors need to be replaced. They aren't grinding, but the motors have gotten to where they will go up, but not back down. You can manually roll them back down.
I'm sure I have left some things out, but if you have questions or would like to see more pictures, please text 870-918-43zero zero.
Only reason I'm selling is that I found a C6 I want to buy and need the cash.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
New Chevrolet Silverado to be revealed on Facebook on Thursday
Tue, 11 Dec 2012There's not much to see here, but if you're one of those waiting for the reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, above is the teaser image that Chevrolet posted on its Facebook page. We've seen the truck in form-fitting camo before, and even less can be made out here beyond those seriously punchy Silverado-esque fenders and the knowledge that the projector-beam headlamps teased previously do indeed work. We'll have to wait until Thursday for a full perusal of the "bold exterior design" and "careful attention given to every detail" we've been promised.
Gathering intel and rumors, magnesium and aluminum contribute to the Silverado's weight loss plan, the purported "High Country" top-tier trim will contribute to luxury pickup truck competition and profit margins and the next-generation small-block V8 will contribute to improved fuel economy. On the engine note, there have been rumors of available V6 engines, and when Facebook user John Jones asked "Where's your answer to that EcoBoost Chevy?", the Bowtie replied "stay tuned on the 13th. We think you'll be pleased...".
Along with the "Raise the Bar" tag, Chevrolet says of the Silverado, "You asked, we delivered." You can watch the reveal live on Chevrolet's Facebook page at 9:30 am EST, this Thursday, December 13. The GMC Sierra 1500 will also be there, and we'll see both in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
Take a close look at the guts of the Chevy Volt battery, powertrain
Sat, Aug 9 2014Just how intimate would you like to get with the powertrain in a Chevy Volt? If you're anything like YouTube user d55guy, then spending a half hour filming yourself taking apart the battery pack, motor, inverter and more for a look inside sounds like your idea of fun. After all, this way you get to see the cooling system, the heavy safety kill switch and count up the individual cells in the battery modules. Fun! Turns out, we also enjoy languidly paced Volt dissection video goodness, and we think you might want to see it as well. So, we've embedded two videos below and if you don't have a better understanding of how the Volt is put together after watching them, well, at least you can't say we never tried to show you anything. Given that what's really happening here is the organized 'destruction' of an expensive and potentially dangerous object, let's talk safety. There's a serious disclaimer at the beginning of the videos and on the YouTube description page, but we feel the need to repeat the gist of it here: do not try this at home. The creator of the video says he is a trained engineer and has been doing things like this "for the better part of a decade," so he apparently knows what he's doing. With that in mind, watch it all below. When you're done seeing the insides of a Volt powertrain up close, if you need more filmed EV dissection/destruction, check out this video designed for first responders approaching a damaged Tesla Model S.
