Up for sale is a PRISTINE 1996 Corvette Grandsport Coupe 100% original as new. As a collector I have maintained the vehicle to show condition. The Corvette Grand Sport was produced in the C4 edition as the final year of production-1996. The factory made 1,000 total cars 810 coupes and 190 convertibles.
So what makes the GrandSport such a collector item?
The 96' GrandSport is a tribute to the early 1963 version, sporting the same color scheme of Admiral Blue Paint with the arctic white stripe, red hash marks on the driver side fender, but new for the '96 are the 17" Black 5 spoke aluminum wheels. The interior choices for the '96 were either black or a red/black combination with the name Grand Sport lettered onto the seats. New for '96 is the LT4 power plant made especially for the Grand Sports. Very conservatively rated at 330HP The LT4 motor was mated only to a six speed manual transmission and was a option ordered with base manual equipped corvettes that bore the Grand Sport logo atop the engine.
The RPO# for the Grand Sport Package was Z16 and added cost of $3,250 for coupes and $2,880 for the convertible. The RPO#Z16 includes:
LT4 330HP Engine
MN6 Manual Six Speed
U28 Admiral Blue Paint
U10 Arctic While Stripe
U193 Black Leather Grand Sport Interior
Black ZR-1 Style Wheels
Black with While Lettered Brake Calipers "Corvette" lettering
P275/40/ZR17 Front Tires (Coupe Only)
P315/35ZR17 Rear Tires (Coupe Only)
Rear Fender Flares (Coupe Only)

Embriodered Grand Sport Logos in the seats

5.7 SFI V8 330 HP Engine $1,450.00
Corvette Coupe Preferred Equipment Group #1 $1,333.00

Auto Show Notebook: Legendary Continental name inspired Lincoln's designers
Thu, Apr 2 2015What's in a name? A lot for the Continental concept, and it gave Lincoln designers a sense of purpose as they styled the brand's upcoming flagship sedan. "The moment that we told them, it was amazing," Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra said. "They totally got it." "It" is cutting-edge technology wrapped in stately, large-sedan design. It's a nod to Lincoln's storied past, but a signpost for where the brand is heading. Though the Continental name dates to the late 1930s, Lincoln designers avoided making the concept overtly retro. "You can't let it pull yourself back too far in history, but you've got to design a car that lives up to the name," Galhotra said. Speaking to Autoblog on the floor of the New York Auto Show where the Continental formally debuted Wednesday, the Lincoln president reiterated that the car is on track to launch in 2016. It will compete against the Audi A6, Lexus GS, BMW 5 Series and other large luxury sedans. After its debut, the concept in New York will fly to China – another critical market for Lincoln – for display there. It will be replaced in New York by a prototype without an interior. The Continental is the latest high profile play by Lincoln to raise its image with consumers, who have either ignored or forgotten about it amid steep competition in the luxury sector from German and Japanese brands and a potentially resilient Cadillac. Lincoln sales are essentially flat compared with 2014 through the first quarter of this year, with total volume of 21,478 units. The middling start to 2015 comes on the heels of nearly 16-percent sales growth last year spurred by the launch of the MKC and the prominent signing of Matthew McConaughey to star in Lincoln advertisements. Other News, Notes & Quotes Speaking of names, Chevrolet did its homework before deciding to proceed with "Malibu" for its new generation of midsize cars. "We went out and researched it," said Alan Batey, president of General Motors North America. "People actually like the name 'Malibu,'" he said. Admittedly, the current Malibu has struggled in the marketplace against entrenched competitors, Batey said, but he's optimistic its awareness and historical value are assets to the dramatically redesigned sedan."The name's strong," he said. Meanwhile, in other Chevy news, the brand kicked off a new marketing campaign, "Real People, Not Actors" Wednesday. It will show consumers interacting with Chevys and their spontaneous reactions to the vehicles.
Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.
So, how do you actually pronounce that automaker's name?
Thu, Jan 21 2016You probably have that friend who always says Porsche wrong, or maybe it's someone who keeps reminding you it's actually two syllables. Whichever side of the pronunciation debate you fall on, you'll find someone to root for in the video above. And before you ask, this was all the video team's idea. So don't get mad at me for being the voice of reason. BMW Chevrolet Hyundai Nissan Rolls-Royce Videos Original Video nissan qashqai
