SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!!!!!  DON’T BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO BUY!!!!  DON’T WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS……….

LOW, REASONABLE RESERVE!!!!!!!!

CLEAN CALIFORNIA TITLE!!

FULLY LOADED!

This auction is for my 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary Edition, Ruby Red!!!!

Carfax is clean- email me for a copy.

It is a nice driver condition 93 Vette. It has approximately 118k miles. It runs and drives great.  It has the 350 LT1 automatic combination.  It has a targa top with the clear roof.  Interior is in nice condition- seats have no rips and are not totally worn- i'd say they are nice for 20 year old leather.  Both power windows roll up and down nicely.  Air conditioning blows cold.

The car has ZR-1 emblems on the fenders; it is NOT a ZR1.

The car is in decent condition and is a very nice driver.  To make it perfect it needs a little tlc- the paint looks nice but has some scratches, etc.  The front bumper cover has chips and paint runs.  Weatherstripping is old and cracking in some places.  Clearcoat on the rims is peeling.  Needs new tires.  The car should be started every so often otherwise the battery gets drained.  The targa top is has some fading and scratches.  If the winning bidder is interested, I have a turquoise top that needs slight repair that I would include in the deal for future ruby red painting.  CD player doesn't eject.

I have a CLEAR California title in my name. The car is non-op'ed.

I have more pictures for anyone interested.  Please send any requests via EBAY, and I will respond promptly.

The auction can end at anytime and for any reason without notice.  The winning bidder is to contact me at auction’s end and the car is to be paid for in full within 14 days of auction’s end with no exceptions. The buyer is responsible for shipping.  My zip code is 95620 for shipping quote purposes.  If you’re somewhat local I may deliver the car for an agreed upon fee to cover gas, etc.

I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime and for any reason without notice.  The car is a nice 20 year old car but sold as is.  Please check my feedback and bid with confidence.  If you know these cars then you know they are gaining in popularity.....Thanks for looking!

IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THE CAR, PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL AT 707 624 6740 AND I WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.  ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES THOUGH PLEASE!!!!

2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas

Wed, Oct 29 2014

Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures

Tue, Jun 23 2020

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski  Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
