mods done to the car. professionally build 396sb with about 4k miles on it. built in 2006 eagle forged crank 3.875 stroke lunati promod rods 6" bowtie 4 bolt block slp forged pistons 4.030 bore brodix m2 215 cnc ported heads 11.5/1 cr. comp cam solid roller 252/260 112lsa 620/620 lift probe shaft rockers 1.5 ratio comp cam cs .300 solid roller tappets custom made efi intake. made by jeb. 52mm tb holley 42lbs ford injectors tpis headers, y pipe, random tech cat, corsa exhaust(not too loud) fast xfi f/i system mccloud twin disk clutch 3.91 rear axle ratio. hardened outer shafts on rear axle aero fuel system rated for 1000hp -8 line all braided bilstein sport shocks (new 2 years ago) nitto 555r dot road race tires almost new. z06 rims . msd digital 6 ignition msd crank trigger hurst shifter hurst roll control msd shift light auto meter fuel pressure gauge. cross drilled rotors w/ hawk brake pads driveshaft loop. new rack and pinion 2 years ago. pioneer cd deck, 4channel amp, pioneer speakers. sounds great. 5 point roll cage and 5 point race harnesses. NHRA legal to 10.0 custom 2 stage nos system all contolled by the fast xfi. on the dyno. 480 rwhp n/a 635 rwhp 1st stage nos 780 rwhp 2 stages , the air fuel was slighty rich at 10.5/1 with c16 fuel. i have only used the second stage 1 time on the dyno. the nitrous is now setup just the first stage. im sure there are a bunch of items i forgot. feel free to contact me with any questions. |

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin.
