I am selling my 1991 corvette. It has about 72,xxx miles on it... will change as its driven for test drives. The car just had brand new tires put on it and brand new PA state inspection starter and alternator and battery. The car does run well and can be driven with out doing anything to it. The seats are in great shape. The factory Bose system has been removed and a JVC cd player added. The removable Targa top is in good shape for its age as are the seals around it. It does not leak in the rain as far as I know have not been in the rain much but it will leak if you take it thru a high pressure car brushless car wash. The car has upgraded Chrome Wheels off of a C5 corvette with 17s in the front and 18s in the rear ( brand new tires). Was told because of the different rim sizes the service ride control light is on due to the car can not level its self. Never had this looked into cause it does not effect much. The car also has Borla exhaust on it and the Pre cats have been removed. Due to the exhaust every now and then if on the highway for a long time the service engine light comes on from an 02 sensor but that goes back out after a day of city driving. The Car was repainted by the last owner and it does look good from a few feet away but it does have its runs and there is some bubbles on the rear quarter panel and there is over spray under the front and rear bumper and a spot or two under the hood. Please look at the photos i will try to show them they are hard to show up in the photos but they are their. The paint is much better then cars its age that have not been painted but it does need paint work to look brand new again in my opinion. Good thing is it wont rust its fiberglass lol. The back window of the car has newer tint on it. Here is a video of the car before put in storage last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rDWnVP1b0s Again hard to see the bubbles in the paint but they are there so dont be shocked. going down the street you wont notice them but when you wash the car you will. If you have any question please feel free to email me. All checks must clear 100% before I sighn the title over. I will ship the car if you set up shipping and pay for it. I will help load or whatever is needed.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
Is your new-car warranty good at the race track?
Mon, Feb 27 2017We've all heard the horror stories. Your buddy knows a girl that was dating a guy whose best friend's brother once broke his brand-new, recently purchased performance car while making runs at a drag strip or laps at a track day, and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. True story? Urban legend? Complete crap? Yes, no, maybe. One thing's for sure: Automotive warranties have always come with caveats. In 1908, an ad in the Trenton Evening Times clearly stated: "All Ford Cars Guaranteed for One Year." Although it changed over time, by 1925 the Ford New Car Guarantee only covered 90 days on material and 30 days on labor, and it clearly stated that that there was "No guarantee whatever on Fan Belts, Glass, Bulbs, Wiring, Transmission, Bands, Hose Connections, Commutator Shells, Rollers, Spark Plugs or Gaskets." Whether or not Ol' Henry would pay to fix your Model T if you broke it shaving a tenth off your lap time at the local board track seems to be lost to history. We're guessing no. But what about today? Do new-car warranties in 2017 cover cars when they are driven on race tracks? We researched the warranties of 14 auto brands to find out, and the answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on the brand, in some cases the model, and whether or not your car is modified from stock. Acura has been out of the high-performance car game for a number of years, but jumps back into the party in 2017 with its hybrid-powered $173,000 NSX supercar. And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover "the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events." View 33 Photos So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. "If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question," he told us. "However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further." Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si. This became a common theme. Chevrolet actually started this practice with the fifth-generation Camaro on the high-performance ZL1 and Z/28 models.
