1989 Corvette Convertible, Dark Blue Metallic with Saddle Interior and Top. I purchased this car new in Feb 1989 and had the ground effects and wood dash installed before I picked it up. After 25 years it has only 70150 adult driven miles. Always garaged and well maintained. Auto Trans, 5.7 Liter, Power brakes, steering, windows, antenna, seats, and heated mirrors. Climate control, Low tire pressure monitor, Electronic Instrumentation. Service records, Original window sticker, owners manual, and brochure. Clean Carfax report. Paint shows some dullness and light scratches. Hood was repainted about 10 years ago after the repair of some cosmetic damage at the very front. Interior is very clean. Dual Power seats have minor cracks in leather but no splits. Bose stereo has an intermittent noise problem. Front spoiler is missing. Replaced antenna, rebuilt headlamp motors, replaced top, new fuel injectors. Tires are fair to good condition.

Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.

Wed, Jul 23 2014The rumored demise of the Opel Ampera has been confirmed, but there's good news, too. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann has been busy Tweeting information about the brand's next plug-in vehicle, admitting that the Ampera is on the way out but that plug-in vehicles are here to stay. His Tweets, in full, read: After the eventual run-out of the current generation Ampera, we'll introduce a successor product in the electric vehicle segment. Our next electric vehicle will be part of our massive product offensive – with 27 new vehicles in the 2014-2018 time frame. We see eMobility as important part of the mobility of tomorrow and we will continue to drive down costs & deliver affordability. As we learned earlier this week, the Ampera will not be refreshed when the current Chevy Volt is updated, most likely because of slow sales. Opel sold just 332 Amperas in the first five months of 2014. For now, General Motors is still building Amperas in Michigan for export to Europe. So, what might this new EV mean for the General Motors plug-in fleet? Official spokespeople are being quiet, but we think it's safe to say the new EV Neumann is talking about is not simply a rebadged Chevy Spark EV. This is the first official word about an entirely new EV, and we expect it will come to both the Chevrolet and Opel brands.
