After owning my dream car for over 16 years I have decided to sell my baby and find a new love. This sale is for my ridiculously clean 1987 Corvette that I purchased July 17 1997. It had 39000 miles on it then and now has 44970 on it. It has been my baby since then and I have taken care of it very well. There are numerous upgrades done to it for better performance while still being very reliable if you chose to drive it more regularly than I have. The exterior is Light Blue Metallic and is in excellent shape. The front bumper has some small nicks on it and a small chip or two. The interior is extremely  clean and taken care of, the grey cloth seats are perfect and have no tears or wear through them. The door panels are in very good shape with no damage or cracks. The dash functions as it should but sometimes I feel it is not as bright as I think it should be. I have not taken apart the dash and cleaned the sensor eye to perhaps improve that. When I purchased this car in 1997 I wanted to have the fastest, cleanest C4 there was so I started to remove all unnecessary items in the car that did not help performance. I removed all wiring to the radio, speakers and theaftermarket radio that was in it and also the spare tire and carrier. I do not have these items anymore. I also removed the cruise control module that went above the battery in the engine compartment. Some of the upgrades I have done to the vehicle are:                   -Installed TPIS shocks, installed an open air filter housing and a smooth plastic air intake duct, installed bosch platinum +4 spark plugs and TPIS plug wires, installed TPIS long tube headers with no mufflers and just long stainless exhaust pipes. I have removed all smog equipment and have a stainless bracket kit in place of the smog pump. I installed a Tpis MINIRAM manifold which has made a BIG difference in performance. Also have installed a TPIS air foil in the throttle body. I have changed the rearend gears from 3.07 to 3.73 which was a great improvement! Also I had a B&M shift kit put in the transmission which gives it very firm shifts when shifting it manually which feels great as compared to letting it shift on its own. The car was and is one of my favorite designs ever and it will always be. But I dont drive it nearly enough as the miles attest to and with a family now perhaps a four seat sports car might be more practical. This car drives awesome and sounds amazing with the practically no exhaust on it and I would feel good driving it nearly anywhere (as long as its sunny and dry) . The car is exceptionally clean underneath and the engine compartment would compare I believe to almost anyone seen. I am crazy OCD with keeping my vehicles clean as you will see. The few negatives about the car is the A/C has never been charges since I bought it and doesnt blow any air out of the vents, not sure if the ventilation in the dash was disconnected when I removed the radio and equipment but the car is/was my sunny day baby and never really cared. I do not have the stock wheels just the aluminum ones on it that I have now. The front tires have good thread left and the back tires are BF goodrich drag radials and didnt have much to begin with new, probably have about 2000 miles on them. The power windows/locks/seats all work perfectly and the bronze clear roof has no crack but some crazing in it. The weather stripping is good except for the rear roof which if fine except for a small chunk taken out I think by the previous owner perhaps locking himself out? I replaced the fuel pump with a high flow pump when I installed the MINIRAM manifold and since then the fuel gauge is not as accurate as it should be. Not sure if I bent the arm installing it but have not tried to correct it. The only spot the carpeting is poor is in the hatch area where it has a few dry spot and doesnt look perfect.(I keep the sunshade over it now). Anyway the car will impress anyone looking to have the cleanest loudest C4 corvette around and it has low miles so its reliable and could be taken to carlisle or wherever with confidence. Junkyard Gem: 1985 Chevrolet Sprint

For in the 1985 model year, General Motors began selling Chevrolet-badged Suzuki Cultus hatchbacks in California. Sales of the cheap three-cylinder econobox in the rest of North America followed soon after (with the Canadian version known as the Pontiac Firefly), and did pretty well considering the crash in gasoline prices during the middle 1980s. Starting in 1988, the facelifted Sprint became the Geo (and, later on, Chevrolet) Metro. Here's one of the very first Cultuses sold on our shores, found in a San Francisco Bay Area car graveyard. Amazingly, the primitive rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet Chevette remained available all the way through 1987, competing with the thriftier front-wheel-drive Sprint in the same showrooms. For 1988, Pontiac started selling a rebadged Daewoo LeMans, so the Sprint/Metro never lacked for intra-corporate competition. Inside, you'll find the same stuff most mid-1980s Japanese econoboxes got: tough cloth upholstery and long-wearing hard plastics. Suzuki quality in 1985 wasn't quite up to Honda or Toyota levels, but you weren't paying Honda or Toyota prices for the Sprint. MSRP on this car started at $4,949, or about $12,000 in 2020 dollars. The cheapest possible 1985 Chevette cost $5,340, while a new no-frills Ford Escort would set you back $5,620. Subaru, however, could have put you in a punitively unappointed base-model Leone hatchback for just 40 bucks more than the Sprint that year. I think I'd have sprung the extra for a $5,348 Toyota Tercel, a $5,195 Mazda GLC, or— best cheap-commuter deal of all that year— the $5,399 Honda Civic 1300 hatchback. I was 19 years old and driving a Competition Orange 1968 Mercury Cyclone that year, and I recall feeling pity for Chevy Sprint drivers, new-car smell or not. Still, these weren't bad cars for the price, though a Sprint with an automatic transmission was a real character-builder. Got three cylinders and uses 'em all! 48 horsepower from this hemi-headed SOHC 1-liter. The Turbo Sprint — yes, such a car existed — had a howling 70 horsepower. Chevrolet Malibu could last until 2024 before joining the dodo

Automotive News pieced together all available intel on the Chevrolet and GMC lineups, trying to ascertain how much life each model might have left. Concerning the Chevrolet Malibu, the answer is not too much, and the historic nameplate's final years don't look like the glory kind. After a major overhaul in 2016 boosted sales for the ninth-generation sedan to 227,881 units, the 2018 sales fell to 144,542, and this year's are down almost 15% through the end of June. The Malibu is one of two Chevrolet sedans still breathing - the other being the Impala for now - but only for about five more years. AN says there'll likely be a refresh in 2022, followed by a visit from the Reaper in 2024. After that, it could be "indirectly replaced" by an electric vehicle, one of the 23 EVs that GM is working on for 2023.     The Impala will meet the ax earlier despite a recent stay of execution. Production is still set to close in January 2020. In the entire GM stable, Cadillac might soon be the only marque with sedans. The Buick LaCrosse has a date with death, and Groupe PSA won't supply Opels-as-Regals forever.  The Sonic hatchback should say goodbye at the end of 2020, a year before the seemingly eternal Spark is thought to die. Two years after that, according to one report, the Camaro will go back into cold storage, perhaps forever, and AN says an "expected redesign of the car in 2021 was reportedly canceled." Finally, let's give one final shout-out to the Chevrolet Cruze, a global nameplate, which in the United States alone outsells the Malibu, outsold the Camaro by a factor of three last year, and absolutely trounces the Impala, Sonic, and Spark. Even that couldn't get a stay of execution. In more uplifting news, everything's happening on the crossover and truck side in the next few years. The Chevy Bolt is due for a refresh next year, even though it has "become more important for self-driving ride-hailing fleets that GM Cruise plans to operate than for consumers." In 2021, the Bolt-based crossover should bow, first in China, then here. It's said to look like "a mix of the Bolt and Trax" in spy shots. Still waiting for a green light: a possible subcompact GMC crossover called Granite that might make it to market by 2023. The full-sized SUV triplets Tahoe, Suburban, and Yukon could show their new faces in 2020. The Silverado might get an updated interior in 2020 or 2021, while the Colorado and Canyon mid-sized pickups won't get attention until perhaps 2023.

GM may have teased a whole group of electric vehicles

During GM's big CES press conference, the automaker highlighted a number of its upcoming electric car-related projects from delivery vans to the upcoming flagship Cadillac Celestiq. In the middle of it all, a collection of mystery cars sat in the background behind speakers. They were in the dark, lit only with their running lights, and while it's possible they're just generic filler cars or concepts, we think they could be future products. Our best shot of the cars together is shown above, and we can pretty easily identify three of the vehicles. In the center is obviously the GMC Hummer EV. On either side of it are Cadillacs. To the left seems to be the Lyriq crossover, and to the right is the Celestiq sedan. Two of these cars have production dates, and the third has been confirmed for eventual production, just without timing. This is why we think the rest of the cars are upcoming models. The next most easily identified car is on the near right behind the Cadillac Celestiq. It very clearly has a Chevy bowtie illuminated in the running lights. And looking closely, it appears to be a pickup truck. It's difficult to make out anything more than that. The nose does look a bit more rounded and swept back than the brick-like designs of the Silverado truck line. That also squares with what seemed to be the upcoming truck that appeared in the background of yet another GM presentation. GM previously said this electric Chevy truck will be a full-size model with up to 400 miles of range. That leaves us with three more mysterious models. Over to the left behind the Cadillac Lyriq are what appear to be a pair of crossovers. The one on the far left looks low, curvy, and possibly with a fastback roof. The one on the right is taller, boxier, and probably more of a full-size people hauler. It's hard to say much more beyond that. They could be new electric Buicks, which would fit in nicely with that brand's crossover portfolio, and would likely be highly successful in China, where Buicks, crossovers and electric cars are all rather hot commodities. As for the mystery car on the far right, it's quite a puzzle. We can at least rule out Buick and Cadillac, and GMC since it's definitely a car, and a rather small one compared with the other cars on display. That leaves Chevy, and possibly the autonomous division Cruise. We're leaning toward it being a Chevy, since the first Cruise vehicle is going to be a boxy pod of sorts.
