Car has new fuel pump, tps, iac, maf, cpu, maf, alternator and new tires and wheels. I could not get this car to idle correctly and had it checked by a corvette specialist. A/c works great, auto shift excellent. small hole in passenger seat. I would say that this car is probably %100 original. I drove it until May when inspection ran out. Idle was annoying. Paint is very good. I replaced injectors and it will not idle now. I do not have the place to work on it nor the time or patience anymore as my back is in terrible condition. with some knowledge this car could be and everyday driver with just a little tlc. As a side note, one of the valve covers is missing........tossed out by a vindictive ex. They can be found on ebay for as little as $40. Speedometer was rebuilt last year $500. A/c was changed over $250 and troubleshoot was 1500.......no definite problem was found."

1985 Corvette not running. Can be fixed with a little knowledge and tlc. Silver with auto. Brand new tires. Very nice car and could be everyday driver. Please call me at 4847022033 with any questions. I will be posting more photos but will take any that you want. Just give me a list. Again this is a very nice car and would make a great everyday driver. I do not have a garage or would probably nibble at it and get it running again. Ran for over year with idle problem very fast. Just no one could solve the idle problem which I believe to this day is a major vacuum leak.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
