BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL 45K MILES.VERY CLEAN UNDER HOOD WITH NEXT TO NO OIL,GREESE RESIDUE BUILD UP.VERY DRY UNDER CARRIAGE WITH NO APPARENT LEAKS.NO RUST SCALE (TEXAS CAR).APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL PAINT (VERY FADED-TEXAS SUN) APPEARS TO HAVE NO BODY DAMAGE / FIBERGLASS REPAIRS.RUBBER NOSE HAS SMALL CRACK/TEAR IN CENTER.INTERIOR APPEARS TO BE ALL ORIGINAL WITH TORN DRIVER SEAT COVER AND SOME SMALL CRACKS THROUGH OUT.STARTS RIGHT UP AND DRIVES,STEERS AND STOPS WELL.CAR HAD BEEN SITTING FOR MORE THE 5 YEARS AND SOME TIMES RUNS A LITTLE ROUGH SO I WOULD ADVISE TUNE-UP.HAS 40+ OIL PRESSURE.CRUZ CONTROL NOT HOOKED UP BUT SPEEDO IS WORKING.TACH AND OTHER GUAGES ALL SEEM TO WORK BUT THE FUEL GUAGE HAS NOT MOVED MUCH BUT I HAVE ONLY PUT APROX. 5 GALLONS OF FUEL IN,BUT THE LOW FUEL LIGHT DOES COME ON.ORIGINAL AM/FM STERIO WITH CASSET WORKS ALTHOUGH I NO LONGER HAVE A CASSET TO CHECK TAPE PLAYER.POWER ANTENNA WORKS. POWER STEERING,POWER 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES,TILT TELESCOPIC STEERING.POWER DRIVERS SEAT WORKS.POWER WINDOWS WORK BUT ARE VERY SLOW,POWER LOCKS ARE NOT WORKING,I GUESS FROM SITTING.ALL THE LIGHTS ARE WORKING INCLUDING UP AND DOWN MOTION OF HEADLAMPS.GLASS T-TOPS WITH LOCKS.A/C IS COMPLETE AND LOOKS LIKE IT HAS NEVER BEEN TOUCHED BUT IM SURE IT NEED A CHARGE AND OR SERVICE.I HAVE NO WAY TO PROVE MILAGE BUT IT IS VERY DRY AND CLEAN AROUND THE WHOLE ENGINE AND DRIVE LINE.IT HAS FLOW MASTER MUFFLERS. I JUST SERVICED THE TRANS WITH NEW FILTER AND FLUID IT SEEMS TO SHIFT AND WORK GREAT AND IS A 4-SPEED AUTOMATIC.OIL & FILTER WAS JUST CHANGED. REPLACE ALTERNATOR AND CHARGING SYSTEM SEEMS TO FUNCTION WELL INCLUDING BATTERY.WHEELS ARE NOT ORIGINALS, TIRES HAVE GREAT TREAD AND ARE STILL SOFT WITH NO DRY CRACKS.HORN IS NOT WORKING BUT I AM LOOKING INTO THIS.I THINK THIS IS A CORRVETTE WITH A LOT OF INTEGRITY THAT CAN BE DRVEN NOW AND FIXED UP MORE AS YOU GO A LONG.AS WITH ANY 32 YEAR OLD CAR THERE IS NO WARRANTY AND IS BEING SOLD AS IS.IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU CAN CALL ME @ 817-431-2022 SHOP # JOHN.FULL PAYMENT WILL HAVE TO BE RECIEVED BEFORE CAR OR TITLE CHANGES HANDS. Motor Trend wheels the 2015 Corvette Z06
Tue, Nov 25 2014The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is capable of some absolutely wild metrics. Want proof? Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is here to break it all down. 60 miles per hour? 3.2 seconds. 60 to 0? 91 feet. Lateral acceleration? A staggering 1.16g, a figure that is the highest MT has ever recorded for a vehicle that isn't a race car. It's an utterly astonishing piece of work, this Z06, and just when you think it can't possibly get any more impressive, Randy Pobst hustles an auto-equipped Z06 around Road Atlanta in just 1:30. Aside from the eight-speed auto, Pobst's Z06 had the most aggressive aerodynamic package, the so-called Stage III. Take a look at the 650-horsepower Z06 in Motor Trend's latest video.
Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
