1982 Chevrolet Corvette on 2040-cars
Liberty Center, Ohio, United States
We are selling our 1982 corvette. Its all original with just over 69k miles. Has crossfire injection and automatic transmission factory wheels. A/C works, Glass tops, Black on Black, power windows locks cruise. Has a new radiator and battery tires in good shape. Car has just sat in the garage as long as we have owned it haven't even put 1000 miles on it. It has a couple minor blemishes that are shown in the pics. Small crack in dash pad, missing vanity mirror, C from emblem missing and carpet is torn on drivers floor and stitches coming out of seat. Very clean car overall nice glossy paint clean inside with the exception of the few issues. Car looks dirty in pictures taken back during harvest couldn't get it out for new ones due to snow. Front valance is not all chipped up like it looks in the pictures again that is dirt from when we actually had it out and drove it. Very nice car over all just trying to be honest about the few things that are not as they should be. Contact me with your number if you want to arrange a meeting to look at the car locally. CASH ON PICK UP IS ONLY PAYMENT OPTION ALONG WITH THE PAYPAL DEPOSIT.

GM learning from current Chevy Volt owners as it works on next-gen model
Tue, Sep 16 2014Details of the second-generation Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid are coming in at a trickle, and the latest is that the 2016 model-year Volt will be improved in all meaningful areas, including performance and all-electric range, says General Motors powertrain director Larry Nitz. 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Nitz was speaking to Autoline After Hours about the current and future Volt. He said that GM has been tracking Volt driving habits and found that about two-thirds of the Volts' collective miles are driven in electric mode, and that 81 percent of all Volt trips were done in pure EV mode. Additionally, Volt drivers plug the car in 10 times each week, on average. Nitz also said 82 percent of the Volt's commuting miles are coming from the plug instead of the gas tank. Oh, and 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Last month, GM released a teaser shot of the 2016 Volt (above) and said the car would make its worldwide debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next January. Earlier this year, the Volt was reported to be getting a new chassis for the upcoming version. The Volt could use a bit of new life. Through August, Volt sales were down 12 percent from a year earlier to 13,146 units, and sales plunged 25 percent alone. That compares unfavorably to the Nissan Leaf battery-electric vehicle, whose 2014 sales have jumped 34 percent to almost 19,000 units. You can see Nitz dish the goods in the video below (Volt comments start at around minute 15). You will also notice AutoblogGreen contributor Gary Witzenburg talk about his history with the EV1 and share his take on the Volt. This content is hosted by a third party. Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers
Wed, Aug 14 2024Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
