1982 C3 Corvette Collector Edition, Low Mileage, But Needs Engine Work on 2040-cars
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States
GUYS THIS IS A RE-LIST FROM LAST WEEK. iT'S A BEAUTIFUL CAR WITH AND ENGINE THAT NEEDS WORK. RESERVE NOT REACHED LAST WEEK, BUT I SIMPLY CAN'T GIVE IT AWAY. SO COME ON YOU CORVETTE MECHANICS YOU CAN MAKE SOME MONEY ON THIS ONE SO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: 1982 Silver-Beige Collector Edition, Corvette's tribute car to the Last of the C3s - 52,400 original miles; Original Window Sticker and Tank Build Sheet, Numbers matching original car; L-83 Cross Fire Injection 350; Climate Controlled garage kept for last 27yrs; car driven less than 5,500 in the last 27yrs; Since 2001 only driven 1,345 miles; Just replaced second set of tires date coded 1986 with new Raised Letter BF Goodrich T/A Radials; Because it has been driven so little over the years I had it checked out at Corvette Center USA with Rik Noring. Unfortunately it was found to have only 30 lbs of compression on the #4 cylinder. That means the engine will have to be worked on to keep it numbers matching original or can be upgraded if that isn't important to you. IF YOU ARE MECHANICALLY INCLINED THIS WILL BE A GOOD BUY AND IS CONSIDERED IN MY LOW RESERVE PRICE. Other than that the rest of the overall checkout was fine, but the air will have to be charged. Has the paint scraped on the right front corner of bumper otherwise paint and interior excellent. Car is in great condition and even with the engine work and this price you won't be upside down in this car, but being sold as is, All scheduled maintenance, All records, Always garaged, Custom wheels, Excellent condition, Must see, New tires, No accidents, Non-smoker, Very clean interior, Well maintained
I loaded 5 short video to let you see a walk around, the sound of the missing engine, and overall condition. You can search YouTube for : Ricks Corvettes...........the videos are: 82 CE 1 of 4(should be of 5) 82 CE 2 of 5 82 CE 3 of 5 82 CE 4 of 5 82 CE 5 of 5 I hope this helps, God Bless, rick |

Opel's own ad shows Ampera-e beating Opels in drag race
Thu, Sep 8 2016The Opel Ampera-e isn't expected to set any world records on a quarter-mile drag strip. But when it comes to crossing a major boulevard, though, the European version of the Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle will more than hold its own, potentially scaring inattentive pedestrians everywhere. According to a 35-second video posted by General Motors' Opel division, at least. Opel set up the Ampera-e against four other small-and-sporty vehicles, including racing versions of the Opel Adam and Opel Astra as well as stock versions of the Opel Insignia and Corsa (what, you expected a Corvette to be in there?). With the EV's off-the-line torque as a selling point, Opel showed the Ampera-e beating the other vehicles in a 30-meter (100-foot) drag race. Of course, the video also shows the EV getting passed by some of the others soon after, but the point was made. Opel doubled down by adding the tagline "Fun to Drive" at the end of the video. While Opel hasn't revealed the single-charge range of the Ampera-e, it should be roughly the same as the Chevrolet Bolt, which will be about 200 miles. In addition, the Ampera-e, like the Bolt in the US, will get 200 horsepower from its electric motor, and will be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than seven seconds. The Ampera-e will debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show later this month. General Motors said in February that Europe would get the Ampera-e by next year. Opel had previously used the Ampera name with the Euro version of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in. Honda, Chevy reveal low-drag speedway aero for Indy 500
Sun, May 3 2015As the two automakers currently participating in the IndyCar Series, both Chevy and Honda were invited this year not only to provide engines to the teams on the starting grid, but to develop their own aerodynamics packages as well. Both revealed their designs for the road-course races a few months ago, but with the Indy 500 approaching at break-neck speed, they've now unleashed their aero approaches for speedways. Both are based on the Dallara DW12 chassis introduced to the series a couple of years ago, but sacrifice some of their downforce at the altar of speed. And you can tell as much from looking at them: both Honda (above) and Chevy (below) have streamlined their designs, with single-plane front wings, lower-profile rear wings and fewer winglets on the body and around the wheels in between. The idea is to allow the cars to reach higher top speeds with less drag, while offering the necessary amount of downforce for the banked turns. With the four opening road-course rounds complete, teams using either automaker's equipment will keep the existing aero kits on their cars for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the infield course next week, then switch to the speedway package for the Indianapolis 500 later this month. Then it'll be back and forth for the rest of the season as the circus switches between road courses and speedways. Honda Unveils 2015 IndyCar Super Speedway Aero Kit Apr 30, 2015 - SPEEDWAY, Indiana - To be used at the Indianapolis 500 - Manufacturer seeking 11th Indianapolis 500 victory since 2004 - First public running to take place Sunday at Indianapolis Honda today debuted the "Super Speedway" aero kit of aerodynamic upgrades and components its teams will use at this year's 99th running of the Indianapolis 500. The Honda Super Speedway Aero Kit, produced by Honda Performance Development, Honda's racing arm in North America, includes a variety of individual aerodynamic components fitted to the existing Honda-powered Dallara Indy car chassis. All are intended to give Honda's six Indy car teams – encompassing a potential 17 '500' entrants - the ability to maximize performance at the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval and other large ovals ( over one mile in length) on the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series schedule. "We're excited to unveil our Super Speedway aero kit, the newest element in this era of enhanced manufacturer competition in the Verizon IndyCar Series," said Art St. Cyr, president of HPD.
Europeans ask Chevy to bring Volt back to Europe
Fri, Aug 14 2015A group of French fans is asking for a jolt of support from General Motors to get the 2016 Chevrolet Volt across the pond. The Association Amperistes et Amis des Vehicules Rechargeables is running a Change.org petition that currently has 383 signatures out of a goal of 500. While the attempt is admirable, it's probably going to take a lot more than several hundred people for the model to make a return to the continent after the poor showing of the Opel Ampera – first-gen Volt's European cousin. The group's major argument for bringing a version of the second-gen Volt to Europe is that consumers need "an intermediate choice between expensive or range-limited pure electric cars and plug-in hybrids with a miserable electric range." Furthermore, such a vehicle would prod the competition to produce similarly efficient electrified models. They also lavish praise on the abilities of the Ampera for its long EV driving range. The supporters aren't entirely kind to GM in the petition, though, and claim the company excluded the original car from marketing efforts there. The Ampera actually enjoyed a strong European launch with more orders than initially expected and briefly topped the best-sellers list among EVs there. It was even named 2012 European Car of the Year. Those halcyon days didn't last long, and by 2014 sales fell off to a trickle. The waning reception caused GM's decision not to introduce a version of the new 2016 Volt there or in Australia. Related Video:
