1979 CORVETTE , RED ON RED WITH ONLY 46,244 MILES. GLASS T TOPS
HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO PURCHASE A VERY NICE LOW MILEAGE CORVETTE. THE RED ON RED COLOR COMBO CERTAINLY IS ONE OF THE BEST. THE PAINT IS NICE DRIVER QUALITY. THERE ARE A FEW IMPERFECTIONS HERE AND THERE AS YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM AGE. CALL ME TO DISCUSS THESE FURTHER IF NEEDED. THE INTERIOR IS IN OVERALL GOOD CONDITION. THE DRIVERS SEAT BOTTOM HAS A SMALL CUT IN IT FROM A SCREW DRIVER OR SOMETHING. IT WAS ALSO REDYED AT SOMETIME AND LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE TOP HALF, SEATBACK. THE PASSENGER SEAT BACK IN ONE SECTION HAS CRACKING IN THE TOP COAT. LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN DYED AT SOME POINT. THE DASH IS VERY NICE AS IS THE CONSOLE. THE CARPET AND DOOR PANELS LOOK VERY NICE FOR THERE AGE. iNDICATIVE OF THE LOW MILES. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD. THE WHEELS ARE VERY NICE AND HAVE NO CURB RASH. THE TIRES DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF TREAD AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AT SOME POINT. THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST IS STILL ON THE CAR INCLUDING THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR. THERE ARE NO RUST ISSUES AT ALL WITH THE FRAME. THERE IS A SMALL CRACK IN THE CORNER OF ONE OF THE TOPS. IT SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SPREAD SINCE IT GOES TO EACH EDGE. SEE PICTURE.
NOT MUCH ELSE TO SAY ABOUT A NICE LOW MILEAGE VETTE LIKE THIS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT MY FEEDBACK PLEASE VIEW THE 2 ITEMS I RECEIVED NEGATIVE FEEDBACK ON. THE CARS WERE VERY NICE AND PRICED VERY WELL. SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT REALLY CAR PEOPLE HAVE FALSE EXPECTATIONS OF OLDER CLASSIC CARS LIKE THESE. READ ALL MY OTHER FEEDBACKS. I SAY THIS BECAUSE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME THAT EVERYONE IS HAPPY. THOSE 2 CARS WHERE EXTREMELY NICE ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. 517-294-2602 THANK YOU , JOHN
A $1,000 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AN ACCEPTED OFFER. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS AND HAS NO WARRANTY.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series
Thu, 31 Oct 2013During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
All of the Bond cars of 'No Time To Die' (caution for spoilers)
Thu, Sep 30 2021Note: The following overview of the cars in No Time To Die contains spoilers. Read at your own risk, or come back after seeing the film to make sure you caught everything.  No Time To Die picks up right around where Spectre leaves us. James Bond (Daniel Craig) and Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) are driving along in Bond’s restored and iconic DB5 in Matera, Italy. Things donÂ’t stay all that cheery for long in picturesque Matera, though. As is tradition in Bond films, the first car chase hits us with an explosion of action in what's a super-long opening scene. Fourth-gen Maserati Quattroporte: The baddies in the beginning are driving a Maserati and chasing after Bond in the DB5. Specifically, theyÂ’re in a fourth-gen Quattroporte, which feels right for a chase scene in Italy. Its squared-off looks are mean enough, and its Italian growl is a good background soundtrack to the DB5Â’s inline-six. In addition to the Quattroporte, the chase scene in Matera is home to a couple of the best stunts of the entire movie, including the arch jump done with a Triumph motorcycle seen in trailers — Matera is extremely hilly. Eventually, Bond and Swann find themselves in the DB5 again together, which is where the famous gatling gun scene from the trailer commences, but not before the bulletproof windows and body of the DB5 are thoroughly tested. RIP to the first-gen Range Rover Classics and Jaguar XFs that joined the Maserati in pursuit of Bond (here's a list of other Bond cars over the years). As the DB5 escape scene concludes, we catch a glimpse of what appears to be a Ferrari from the 1970s. However, the view was far enough away that weÂ’ll need a second look to be sure of the exact model. Land Rover Series III: Next time we see Bond, heÂ’s fishing in Jamaica and driving around a blue Land Rover Series III. ItÂ’s yet another of the many Land Rover products featured throughout the film, and unlike most of BondÂ’s Aston Martins, this one doesnÂ’t seem to have any unique features. The other intriguing vehicle out of Jamaica? An old Chevrolet Bel-Air expertly and effectively piloted by Bond newcomer, Ana de Armas. Next up, we get a few shots of the new and still-not-for-sale Aston Martin Valhalla mid-engine supercar (also seen in trailers). BondÂ’s old boss M is in the scene which appears to have been shot in some secret wind tunnel of sorts. Much to our dismay, nobody ends up driving the Valhalla in the film. Could it be a teaser for what the next 007Â’s car is?
