No, she is not perfect, but has been a fantastic car for the last 17 years. I am the 3rd owner and I purchased her on June 21, 1996 and she has been garaged ever since. The car is Frost Blue with dark blue interior. When I bought her she had 118,050 miles on her. Now I have right at 140,390 on her. The tires are just a year old with less than 500 miles on them. The front suspension was completely rebuilt as well as the entire brake system just a few years ago. There is a newer exhaust system as well. Heat and air don't work, but it's a Corvette! I always drove with the tops off. Cruise stopped working a couple of months ago when the transducer was replaced. The driver's seat has a rip in the lower potion side seam and both door panels have small tears in them. Tilt/telescopic steering wheel, AM/FM stereo cassette, power windows. Any questions, just ask. GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
