You are looking at a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Limited Edition Pace Car. This car was stored for almost 15 years and was purchased by a family friend in 2006. This car has 9,559 miles on it. He purchased the car with around 6,000 miles on it and put very few miles on it himself. He has unfortunately passed away and his family has asked us to sell it so someone else could enjoy it. It has the L48 350ci 200hp v8 engine and an automatic transmission. The car is very original. It has The original AM/FM 8 track player. Power windows and locks. Removable glass t-top style roof panels. The original storage bags for the roof panels are also in the car and in excellent condition. The tires and the valve covers have been changed. The tires were replaced because of weather cracking. The valve covers were replaced with chrome covers. The original painted blue covers were saved and they will go with the car. The tires that were put on are the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. They have the same Indy 500 insignia on them that is on the rear quarters of the car as seen in the pictures. The pace car lettering is not on the car but is in its original condition as seen in the pictures and also goes with the car. This car is in excellent condition and runs and drives 100%. As you can see in the pictures the interior is in great shape and the exterior is clean, shiny and flawless. I am available anytime to show interested parties the car in person. Just drop me an email and we can meet. I will assist any way I can with shipping, however the cost of any shipping will be the buyers responsibility.  The State Of NH does not require titles after a car is 15 Years old. This has caused a misplacement of the title. We have sold many cars outside of NH and with a copy of the current NH registration and a Notarized non-title Bill of sale, you will be able to aquire a title in your state, if your state requires a title.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
