1974 Project corvette coupe for sale in Wellington Fla

The drive train appears very good. I bought recently to fix up like a 74 my wife and I had when younger.

This one is pretty original and fairly unmolested, suspension  will need going through as the original rubber is pretty much shot. They sell poly kits on here for a couple hundred dollars.

the car had been sitting before I bought it recently and I had to put a new gas tank and sending unit in, also replaced the rag joint on steering .

Decided I wanted to get back to my 40 ford project so decided to sell.

MSD distributor and Mallory box pictured is not included.

A complete new clear cap HEI with tach drive is included,

but not yet installed. the Mallory box don't really fit in engine compartment anyway and the tach wont work with the MSD distributor anyway.

To test the engine I ran a electric fuel pump also but it runs smooth and no smoke whatsoever even on first start  I drove car around neighborhood and it did very well , was told Target master 4 bolt main crate engine was installed just before parking into storage in 2001.

body is in good shape I would say and wont need much prep work but has a thin area on upper front fender that will need new fiberglass underneath to make stronger.

frame looked nice and also straight to me

front end looks original 74 rear tail has been replaced at some point with an 80s tail

driver door seems good but hits at front gap when opening,  pass door looks operates good,

Interior wise it looks pretty good no cracks (except upper dash corner), no tears or burns or rips wear spots on buckets will  deff need new carpet (there is a nice red molded kit on here for $165 shipped) and top dash pad no rips or tears in seats and door panels and dash looks OK

Missing from car: factory cowl air cleaner, liner trim from driver side T-top Cant think of anything else right now.

gauges seemed pretty good

pop up headlights will need attention one side is binding.

The rubber body mounts and suspension rubber is original Im sure, and will need replaced I was going to install the polyurethane kit on here complete kit is aprox $250

The driver door has some rust holes in that area also the small sheet metal parts that hold together the nose will need repair or replace to do it right. lower radiator cradle also. Carpet needed obviously but floors being all fiberglass so they wont need attention I don't see any rips or tears on interior seats and upholstery and I see where the vinyl can be dyed with spay paint from corvette shops but Ive never tried it. rear package tray will need new lid frame. Glass all looks real good . no oil or water trans fluid leaks was stored with full radiator so it appears good. Tires look real good but are old so I wouldn't try to set any speed records with it. drive train feels pretty tight but as stated the rubber on trailing arms in rear for sure and front sway bar bushings and such. body is pretty good and straight but will still need repair type glass work in some areas before primer . I don't see where its ever been in a accident . but Im guessing that's why the tail is from a 80s unless the original got wavey like they do or I guess the previous owner could have just liked the later rear spoiler look.

If interested please contact for more specifics and HOOD is not presently on car at the moment but very easy to reinstall and will if sells.

Available for viewing just about day or time also,  Thanks, Randy

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
