1968 Chevy Chevrolet Corvair Parts Car on 2040-cars
Sardinia, Ohio, United States
Selling all my corvairs and the parts I have for them. This is a 1968 Chevy Chevrolet Corvair that is a parts car. It has a clear title and is still up on the wheels. Has many good part still to use but I got what I wanted from it for my 1966,1965 and 1969.
The exhaust, motor, and the ignition is missing. The windows are in good shape and appear to be factory tinted. Bench seat is still usuable but you can see where the mice got into it but at least in place where it's not seen. Still has a oder from them in it. Good trim, one piece missing. The inside panels are messed up and there in some corrosion on the window handles. Carpet and headliner bad. Live in Buford/Sardinia are 45171 if you would like to come and see it. Would prefer for you to pick up, but maky consider hauling is we can work out gas and time on our part. This is being sold AS _IS. Oh I am taking off the blue engine and truck hood and replacing them with better usuable ones. Please ask questions about the car so you are happy with your purchase. Call me at 937-892-0055. Marsha Check out my other listing. Got a great project car that is different from all other corvairs as it is all in primer, has a spoiler, hood scoop, dual exhaust and ground effects. Just don't have the funds to persue this now. Has mag wheels. got to be a head turner when finished. Trailer full of parts. |

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs
Sun, 01 Dec 2013
The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
