I am selling this car for the owner who has left me the title and is headed to Florida for the winter. He is selling the car due to his health. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. I drove the car to get its pics taken it seem to run well this was there weekend fun car he brought it back from Califorina some time back. The body is really solid I have not seen one this solid before. The only rust bubbles I could find were on both sides of the front fenders on the bottom. The rest of the car is really really solid. The interior is all original from what I can tell. The paint on the car is old, and has chips and scratches on it. This is a great driver car. The top is nice and has no rips, I did not try to zip up the real window he says it will zip up. The car has a convertible top boot. The top is power and works great. The car also has a teloscoping steering wheel, very cool and hard to find. The trunk is very solid, and in the engine bay it still has the original inner rear insulation still in place. The tires are new on the car. The glass is not broke or cracked on the car. I really do not know much more than that on the car, it does come with some new spare parts, such as rear springs, rubber trunk seal and other stuff. Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut

Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers.
